I’m looking for an obscure animated series I watched on VHS as a kid.

It was 2D and had a rough, low-budget art style somewhat similar to MTV Downtown. The main character was a teenage girl who transformed into a superhero (or something similar) by putting on a latex-like suit/costume.

She had a chubby best friend (possibly Asian), and I think she lived with her aunt.

I also remember one awkward scene where the aunt asked her if she had protection/if she was being safe sexually.

The vibe was futuristic, slightly dark, but also funny (I guess??).
