Its just me and my grandparents, unfortunately this month was the last month of my grandmas SNAP benefits due to her being out of work and not reaching the age requirements and my grandpas benefits are running lower than we expected this month. We have a few dry pantry items we can use with water but nothing much else like cereal, milk, bread, eggs, meats , etc..

Im not sure how this all works but if anyone could spare anything like groceries or a family meal from somewhere cheap we would appreciate it more than youd know! I dont know if pickup or delivery is more preferred but either option would be possible for us!

I had an interview on May 4th and got hired on the spot, the GM told me to lookout for the links to start the onboarding process and that she would try to get me in by that Wednesday— but then she mentions she has a funeral to attend that weekend and if she cant get around to it by Wednesday, she would reach out by that weekend.

I went home and waited, and within the next two days i filled out all the information needed for my paycheck and all the sorts.. but now its already the 15th and i haven’t heard anything back from them.

Initially i knew it might take a few days since she had a funeral to attend and i know better than anyone how that affects people so i gave it time but now im starting to think my position isnt that valuable to them so maybe this is their way of saying they dont need me anymore?

Idk i guess ill keep waiting to hear something (what else can i do) but i just wanted to see if this was normal? Or if i should just accept my defeat 🫤

P.S. ive called the store several times but it just rings and rings and rings eventually saying all circuits are busy and to try again later so im not sure how else i can reach out other than going in and bothering them on shift..
