Old Cora Apartments
I used to live at the Cora Apartments on Ave U near Tech (now the Tenements on Ave U). While I lived there it went from a dingy cheap place to a dangerous one. Roaches, bedbugs, no A/C, squatters, people cooking meth, car thefts, and people starting fires. It got even worse at the end. We could hear people sobbing and screaming at all hours, there was a bike chop shop, people would try and get into the apartment, and people kept dumping human feces in the pathway. I called the police almost every night due to extreme violence. It ultimately burned down in 2020 due to someone leaving a two litre bottle of "shake n bake" out until it exploded. My wife and I and one other couple were the only ones "officially" living there, but the place was packed. I am in a much better place now thankfully. I was trying to find more info after seeing an ad for the new place, but it seems like a lot has been scrubbed from the Internet. Does anyone have any info or stories they would like to share?
