Does 3-Year Indian BSc (NAAC A++) for MS in Health Informatics/Analytics - WES Evaluation & University Options?

Hi everyone,

I need some advice regarding my profile for Fall 2026/2027 admissions in the US.

My_qualifications

  • Degree: 3-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur, India.
  • Accreditation: The university is NAAC A++ accredited (the highest tier in India).
  • Target Program: MS in Health Informatics / Healthcare Analytics.
  • CGPA: 7.96
  • Tests: Planning for Duolingo (DET) and GRE.

The Problem:
I checked the WES Free Degree Equivalency Tool, and it shows my degree as "Three years of undergraduate study" instead of a 4-year US Bachelor's equivalent.

My Questions:

  1. Has anyone with a 3-year degree from a NAAC A++ Indian university successfully received a 4-year equivalency from WES recently? I've heard they sometimes grant it for high-tier accredited institutions.
  2. If I must do a 1-year PG Diploma (like PGDCA or Data Science) in India, will WES definitely count it as 3+1 = 4 years?

Any insights from fellow Indian students or admissions experts would be a huge help. Thanks!

I am looking for an honest assessment of the Business Analytics job market in the US for the 2027 period. There's a lot of talk about the entry-level market being oversaturated for international candidates.

Specific questions for those currently in the industry:

  1. Is the demand for Business Analysts still strong, or has AI automation significantly reduced entry-level hiring?
  2. Are companies still open to sponsoring H1-B/supporting STEM OPT for Business Analytics roles, or is the 'crowd' making it nearly impossible for international students?
  3. Does having niche domain experience (like 2 years in Healthcare Sales) provide a real edge in this market, or do recruiters treat all MSBA grads as generic candidates?
