I gave my ex girlfriend a second chance and she ruined it
I (f26) have a 4 year old son. His father is not in his life due to drug problems. For two years of my child's life I was dating this (f35) woman. From the beginning of the relationship she was very clingy. What I had intentionally loved about her was how good she was with my child. Long story short, she would cause arguments over anything and would fight with my brother and best friend. Looking back now, she was trying to isolate me by telling me the people in my life were no good. Many of these arguments happening in front of my child and I've had neighbors putting in noise complaints.
We broke up in December 2025. It was a shit show, cops were call, and the kid saw it all. Since then she has been admitted about letting her see my child and being apart of his life. Unfortunately I was manipulated into believing that she had changed and I allowed her back into my kids life last week. The terms were that she would not talk shit about my brother or my best friend, and she agreed.
She was over for a visit to hangout with my kid while I was sick in bed. My kids iPad died so I gave him my phones to watch videos on. Apparently she took the phone away from my kid and started going through my text messages. She saw messages between me and a man I've been dating (taking it slow) and got very upset about it. A screaming fight started and of course my kid was there. My brother lives with me and he called the cops to get her removed. I have videos from that day but I don't think I can post them anywhere on reddit without my account being banned.
I feel guilty for believing her lies and putting my child through that again.
