Career advice: Transitioning to Hardware Security after a BSc in Electrical Engineering. Is it risky?

Hi everyone,

I am finishing my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. During my studies, I learned the fundamentals of circuits, microcontrollers, and digital logic, but I am extremely interested in Hardware Security.

I want to pivot into this field, but I am trying to evaluate the risks and the market reality before committing to learning lower-level programming and cryptography.

Could you share some advice based on your experience?

Is the entry-level job market for Hardware Security viable, or do companies only hire seniors with 5+ years of general embedded experiencc?

Thanks in advance for any reality checks or advice!🙂
