Your finite resources and the people who want you to delve into politics disregard what little you have.

The average person:

Time: 8hrs work, 8 hrs sleep, 1 hr prepare/commute to work. 1 hr commute home/unwind. This, for most people is 5 days a week. 1 hr cook/clean daily. This leaves you with 6hrs on week days, 30 hours on weekends = 60 hours is all you really have a week. Now discount time for children, goals, hobbies, exercise, and this time varies for every single person, but on average 60 hours a week is all you get to make life worth living.

Money: if you make 3k a month, that's 2k for rent, 400 for food. Utilities 200, insurance 200, gasoline 200. You're not saving any money.

Energy: this is near impossible to calculate and differs for everyone. It comes down to stamina and patience. How much stamina and patience do you have left after work, exercise, dealing with people, miscellaneous stress, traffic, and everything else?

These 3 factors are all we got when it comes down to it. Now with your finite remainder of resources of time, money, and energy, you have to decide what to do with it. And if you have kids... holy shit, the goals you have, those are pushed back for sure. If you can juggle exercise, goals, family, and higher education, good for you I say. You're not an average person, you're a superhuman.

What's my point here? We keep getting guilt tripped for not participating in politics, and I agree we really should. Fortunately the minimum participation doesn't cost money, just time and energy. You want me to vote? Alright, I agree I should, what in my personal life shall I put on hold to thoroughly look up these issues?

"You have 60 hours a week, why can't you do that with your phone, you're on reddit right now... you could literally do it right now!" I sure could. This circles right back to energy, do I have the patience to read every single political issue right now? No I fucking don't.

"So and so votes. You should too." So and so is too stupid to look into the issues, they're taking the word of whatever "news" told them. BTW I do not care within this rant about liberal or conservative issues, I'm not making an argument for or against either of those right now.

My point is and always was, in order for me to participate in politics, I want to be well informed, and frankly that shit is so draining that I simply won't be able to focus on anything else if I do. It'll consume me and I'll literally go insane from it and not accomplish anything I want to do with my life.

Maybe this was by design, maybe it just turned out that way from the massive chaos that is literally everywhere. So fuck you if you insist I have to participate, you're right, morally, and fuck you thinking I should place more of my time and energy into this overly antiquated system than I do the things I want to actually do with my life. You're acting like I don't give a damn, when in truth it'll consume what little I have and my insignificant contribution frankly just is not worth consuming my entire life.

I solved this one. And I need anyone to explain to me where the roundy thing (I'm not saying the word) is in the bottom right picture. Because I have to play the Kevin bacon game just to make it fit.

They call the shots now!

Now you beg them for a walk. (Also the color scheme would look terrible if I put the bottom text on the bottom.)

The Universe doesn't notice you

I have no problem with the idea that the universe could be a thinking entity, or that the universe itself could have come about intentionally. Here's my problem with how people approach this neato idea:

You think the universe itself cares about you. That's so freakin dumb. Never mind how there isn't any evidence to support this notion. We're a fanciful species, we make shit up all the time. Right on, no problem. If the universe really is some kind of massive giant thinking entity, it would have no reason to care about you more than anyone or anything else. You've given the universe nothing to care about you for. Our entire species, collectively has done nothing to warrant the attention of the universe itself. Yet people go about their day saying nonsense like "Oh I guess the universe just wants me to suffer." Look, if you're being poetic or just speaking a phrase, I'm not talking to you. I mean the people who literally think that some entity that can spawn universes or the people who think the universe itself has some sort of recognition for them, you're just being ridiculous. You don't care about any one specific blood cell in your body, and by comparison one blood cell in your body would be equal to an entire galaxy compared to the universe. And our galaxy has billions of stars. Our planet is literally constantly falling into the sun, yeah, earth is chasing the sun nonstop and has been for over a billion years. You do not matter to the universe. But you can matter to each other, and that's going to have to be enough.
