I installed this about 7 or 8 years ago on my home. It was all soldered copper that had a leak and this was before I started to use pex so sharkbites was the easiest solution. Last week I shut the valve off and it started to leak when I turned it back on. I'm surprised this 3/4 pvc valve has failed before two sharkbites buried in the dirt. I've seen many of these valves do this. I'm replacing it with a brass ball valve this time.
