Seriously. I've been running for years and the apparel situation still baffles me.
On one end you've got Nike, Adidas, On — fine gear, totally soulless. Looks like you're running a corporate 5k whether you want to or not. On the other end there's Satisfy, District Vision — genuinely love the aesthetic, but €120 for a t-shirt means I'm buying one per year if I'm lucky.
There's nothing in between. Nothing that actually looks like it was made for people who run because they're slightly obsessed with it, not because their doctor told them to. Nothing with any edge. No vintage washes, no worn-in feel, no attitude.
I've started seriously thinking about just building it myself. Something in the €40–60 range for tees, €70–90 for hoodies. Garment-dyed, washed fabrics. The kind of stuff that looks better after 50 washes. Graphics and type that feel more like a band shirt than a sports kit.
Before I go too far down that rabbit hole — does this resonate with anyone else? What do you actually wear when you're not racing? What's missing for you in running apparel right now?
Genuinely curious if this is just a me-problem or if others feel the same gap.
