Sharing My Experience for Potential Buyers of @lightningluxury

I want to share my experience for anyone considering a purchase from this seller, @lightningluxury.

I ordered two “pre-loved” mini LV wallets from him: the first for $157 and the second for $235. I enjoyed his show when I first found it, and after reading the reviews, I decided to take the plunge.

From what I saw during the show, both wallets appeared to be in excellent condition. One of the wallets I ordered was actually a replacement for one I already own, which has been heavily used over the years. So, when I saw it, I won the bid.

Fast forward to delivery. Upon inspecting the first wallet, I knew right away that it wasn’t authentic. Immediately off the bat. The stitching was off, among other discrepancies, which made me absolutely furious.

I remembered reading a review on his page where he responded to the buyer that he should’ve messaged him for resolution. So, I decided to send him a direct message with a photo or two explaining my concerns. He tried to persuade me to send more pictures to “get me a free COA.” I was not at all convinced lol. It was clear it wasn’t authentic, so I opted to submit a counterfeit item claim directly through my order. In hindsight, I should have done that instead of messaging him, but we live and learn.

After a little back and forth with WhatNot for additional pictures, they sent me a shipping label to return the wallet to their warehouse for inspection.

Two weeks later, they confirmed it was indeed not authentic, and I received a full refund.

So obviously, at this point, I remembered that I had purchased a second LV cardholder wallet! After doing some online research, I noticed several issues with it as well. I submitted another counterfeit claim, and that second wallet is currently on its way to their warehouse as I write this. I’m confident it will also be deemed inauthentic, and I expect a refund for that one too.

I wanted to caution all potential and past buyers regarding buying designer items on WN via this seller —just please be aware. I’m passionate about designer bags, and I’ve never bought anything second-hand until I discovered WN. It turned out to be a huge mistake.

How can a seller have so many “pre-loved” designer items available? It’s all so suspicious and, ultimately, I felt scammed. Glad WN was able to resolve it.

Edited to add: I see no issue with the way the seller responded. He was cordial, sure. But the over-confidence in authenticity and all the COA nonsense was sketchy to me. That is all. ✌🏼
