About 10 years ago there was a leak + some dry rot, so sections of the original floorboards had to be cut out and replaced. The new boards don’t match the original widths, so it’s a bit mismatched in places - in both width and colour.
It’s never bothered me, but I might sell in a few years so wondering what makes most sense for value.
Options:
a) Leave as is
b) Replace with reclaimed boards + sand/finish for a uniform look
c) Carpet over (may well be required anyway for HMO purposes if bought for intention of renting)
d) Something else
What would buyers generally prefer in a place like this, is it worth fixing?
