My doctor wants to put me on a CGRP medication for my migraines and we have tried getting approvals for a few different CGRP medications but have been declined every single time by my health insurance. When contacting my health insurance they always come back with the same response of not medically necessary after reviewing my documentation that I’ve filled out that they requested. I’ve paid into my health insurance via my employer for twenty years. They do cover the Nadolol and Topirimate I am currently on but these do effective nothing at this point and I am at max dosages for both. Dealing with this is honestly breaking me, as the migraines have gotten so bad I am no longer able to work. Is there any other things that can be done or am I just suppose to deal with constant migraines for the rest of my life unless I win the lottery?

Edit: Just want to thank everyone for there suggestions and ideas, it’s appreciated.

Edit 2: Again, just want to say thank you to folks, makes me feel somewhat better that I’m not the only that has had to deal with stuff like this. Thanks.
