AP vs Shifting

I have been dying to start this conversation between shifters or Astral projectors (or both).

My beliefs is that if you can astral project, you're already way more than halfway there to shift to your DR.

Tell me your experience with both AP and shifting and how they connected with each other.

For me, astral projection has help massively, I've come close enough to hear voices from my DR. Which is a hell of a lot more that before. I think it's because with AP you have to rlly master the state akin to sleep.

Am I astral projecting or am i just dreaming?

When ever I've astral projected it's like I'm in my room, but it looks not quite the same. Thing happen in there that just make me feel like it's just a dream, like sometimes I see my family members in my room doing stupid stuff like they do in dreams. With my technique I just wait till my body falls asleep and my mind stays awake. I always get those scary symptoms and then I sit up out of my body. It seems the longer I stay in the astral the weirder things get.

Here are some things that make me think I could be dreaming or things that are messing with my astral

- it could be my attention span or not being focused enough

-Maybe it's the way I get out of my body(I basically just pretend I'm pushing myself up with my physical body, it's actually hard cuz I feel so heavy)

- I've never rlly looked down to see my physical body, I've never thought to look

-ive never been out of my room yet so much happens there

Maybe it's just a dream and my assumption of waking up in my room creates a dream in my room. Please help me guys I just feel like these experiences are so different from what I hear from others. Like people watching the actual world unfold and seeing things that you could only see if you were almost a ghost. PLEASE TELL ME YOUR OPINION

How do you move through the different Astral layers, I'm aiming for the closest thing to the real world.

My Astral world is a bit unstable, and quite different from IRL. I heard you can astral project in the astral, and that's how you move up in the layers. Are there any other ways to improve my Astral plains realism?

Guys! is this a strange thing to experience while astral projecting?

I stayed in bed so I could maybe AP that morning. Australian birds are pretty loud so I had my window closed. I must've zoned out cuz suddenly I felt like the birds had just gotten extremely loud, it felt like I was on a bed outside, I even felt a breeze or somth. My mind was like, oooh... what if I've shifted to some fantasy place, so I waited for one round of symptoms before I opened my eyes. I was still in my bed, it felt like the astral tho. I closed my eyes hoping to stabilize it, and felt symptoms once more. Except this time I felt very clearly while I had my eyes closed something heavy like a human jumped on top of the blanket I was under. It was very real, like if my sister had done that to me. It felt I was trapped under it. I didn't feel any bad energy so it wasn't to negative. When I felt sharp fingernails scraping my ribcage I opened my eyes, I couldn't see much because I had the blanket cover most of the morning light so I could AP. But I definitely saw a dark shape moving in and out of my vision, just little snippets of black. I brought my self back to my CR and opened my eyes there, my blanket was in the exact way it was in the Astral. My vision was kinda messed up for a second but it's all good now. I've actually had this once before except I just felt someone holding me at the waist just as clearly, and no claws. And it was the exact black shape that I could quite see. Please don't tell me it's some kind of sleep paralysis I feel it didn't want to hurt me like that.

Can someone give me some Astral projection advice plss

Can someone help meee plsss😤😤 I'm so confused about Astral projection rn. I'll give you a little back story cuz I feel like you need context.

Also please share any tips or adviceyou have for me.

I first happened apon AP through my sister,(who had never actually done it), but we found this kinda stuff exciting because we knew deep down it was very real and possible. I truly didn't know anything abt the actual mechanism of how it is possible to do these things. I thought it was just methods and visualization, so yeahh I was pretty far off, 🤦

I'm sure that it might work for some people, but it's never worked for me when I try to muscle my way into AP or Shifting. Methods tend to make you use the wrong side of your brain. Methods were created by people who is already familiar with AP, so as a beginner, it may not work. LONG story short; I tried, I failed. The next night I had no intention of trying again so I went to sleep as usual. I woke early and couldn't go to sleep for hours. I had the biggest scare of my life when I felt these massive vibrations throughout my body. I can only try and explain how it felt, it was like torture, and It was super loud, I felt so terrible. It made my heart rate go crazy, which.made it worse, I would try to make it stop my moving my CR body, but I felt so heavy. I was so afraid. I knew i wasn't alone, my room was dark so you can imagine the fear. even when I manage snap out of it the presence was still there. It happened almost every night after then, I started getting use to the symptoms without actually AP. and without researching anything I learned to focus on steading my breath, and the feeling would eventually leave. Very soon After, I felt brave enough to try to AP, so when the vibrations came I dragged my self out of my body, (I still hadn't done research) idk if thats how to get into the astal plain, can someone tell me??

Anyways it was dark and terrifying my dad was in the shap of some entity, and he stabed me with needles or somth. I was low-key traumatized and never felt save in my room until many month later and not many hours of sleep came with that. But here's the thing, I think I was a dream, only because, it wasn't that realistic and my room may have been different, so what was that??? I was nonetheless traumatized. And here I am two years later at 16yrs of age attempting again. I've even had a change of symptoms, instead of vibrations, it like super strong wind howling past my face. My problem is that every time I try to AP I end up in every other bedroom except mineeee🤦🤦for eg. I had a dream, I woke up and eventually started having symptoms, I kind of wait till I hear that pop or whatever it is and then I ended up in the bedroom I had in my dream, not only that, I was having trouble seeing properly, so it must have been a dream right? If so, how do I NOT end up in a dream??
