Nanite world colony designations annoy me

Nanite empire need planets for 2 things: Research and energy to pay for that research. Nanite worlds have three potential colony designations. Trade, which is fine, I have a trade world for upkeep, Alloys (why? my ships cost nanites and arc furnaces exist) and food/minerals/nanites. Except I don't eat food and I have minerals from arc furnaces. So I can either use my worlds to produce nanites as a byproduct from resources I do not need or I have planets producing useful resources with a useless planetary designation.

And yes im aware that these are pseudo machine worlds that don't need terraforming nor an ascension slot, this is not a balance complaint, it just feels weird to have planet designations for resources I do not need.
