I moved to Europe, what happens if I keep charging to my US credit card and never pay it back? I don’t plan on moving back to the US
I moved to Portugal 4 months ago and I love it. This has been in the works for a decade.
I have a credit score of 810 with assets in the US via 401k and personal brokerage accounts. I have 100k in available credit.
I’ve been curious to think if I maxed out my cards, went into collections and ignored it until it left my credit history for 7 years, what is the downside?
I can buy a modest to nice 2 bedroom apartment in Portugal for 200k if I sell off stock without a 401k early withdrawal and live mortgage free here.
This sounds too good to be true. What am I missing?
