Spotify releases
Hi all! I've noticed that it'a been a while since the last spotify drop, last years we have quite a few of them (songs on keys, the covers one). Do you know if there is any specific reason?

Hi all! Bruce lyrics are such a huge part of my life and I know by heart a lot of them. But, as a non native english speaker, sometimes it took me a while to get what our man was saying!
So, what are his most unintelligible lyrics? I'd say the final part of Downbound Train, some verses of Streets of Fire, the second verse of No Surrender in the live version.
Hi all! I'm doing a playlist of Bruce's songs' covers. Any suggestion for some additions? I put there from my phone also the Dancing in the dark version by Nathaniel Rateliff
I was listening on Nugs to the 2016 Barcelona show which started with Badlands, No Surrender and My Love Will Not Let You Down. So I ended up thinking about the heaviest starting sequences pulled out by Bruce, I'd say let's consider at least the first 3 songs not going over the first 5.
Edit: Barcellona 2024 got Lonesome day, MLYNLYD, Cover Me, Radio Nowhere and No Surrender!
Hi all! As the title says, which songs you think Bruce "old" voice suits better? I'd take into consideration the period from at least the Magic Tour to current days
I think his older voice suits better Racing in the Street and the songs from Nebraska, especially Atlantic City. I also like his older voice on Backstreets, it really shows how a song about desperate youth love can evolve.
Just saw this on X from a great and reliable account, as happened from the Scandinavian dates these are not yet on Bob official site. Bournemouth, Birmingham, Sheffield, 2 dates in Blackpool, 5 dates in London, from the 25th of November to the 8th of December, hope this means that he'll tour also other EU countries.
Hi all! Did Bruce ever play No Surrender in the album version, so without Max stopping drumming before the third part ("Now on the street tonight the lights grow dim"? 'Cause I remember the acoustic arrangement from the '84 tour, then in the shows from The Reunion tour to last legs I've always listened to the version slightly different than the album one.
As title says, I'm curious to know (especially from fans who got the chance to see Bruce and the guys on tours) when do you think they reached their peak? 'Cause being 27 I've seen him only in the recent years, then of course I always listen to the live stuff from all his career but it's harder to judge based on selected shows/songs (having said that, I personally find Bruce vocals being the best on 2008 and 2012; the 2008 shows sound so good also band related).
Hi all! Sorry for the horrible title, but so the question is: what are the song that got through different arrangements and got better or that you find somehow interesting?
I refer to some minor changes, so don't bring up acoustic version vs. full band version. Some examples of what I mean: Long Walk Home vocals in the end, which are not present in the album version; the double horns solo at the end of Thunder Road during the last legs; Murder Inc. organ solo instead of the guitar one during the last two legs; the absence of drumming in No Surrender before the "there'a war outside still raging", while on the album version Max doesn't pause.
Hi all! Is it me or the intro of If They Come Lookin' kind of reminds that of Downbound Train by Bruce? Considering that Zach is a great admirer of the Boss it wouldn't be strange at all, but not sure if someone else also sees the similarity
Hi all! Is there a working link for the acoustic show in Paris? Guess it is sold out but I wanted to give a look especially for the reselling.
My uncle, a die-hard Bruce fan, had a heart attack a few weeks ago, right after we had been talking about last year's San Siro concert. We had exchanged some book recommendations and agreed that we'd go see him together on his next European tour. After recovering, he had a further complication and is now hospitalized, though fortunately out of life-threatening danger. He wrote to me saying that, since there's nothing else he can do, he spends his days listening to Bruce's songs while waiting to get out, hoping we'll get to see him in concert together. Thought it would be nice to share this personal story, Bruce music really means something special for a lot of us out there.
Tomorrow there'll be sunshine / And all this darkness past.
Hi all, I've been in Paris since few weeks and I don't know many people. I read about the Supersonic club and it seems so cool to me, do you think it's the kind of place I can hang out to meet new people (especially at the dj sets nights)?
Ps: I hate current commercial music but some friends told me to go to the Erasmus night at the Oz Cafe Denfert Rochereau 'cause it would be easier there to meet new people
Hi all! Just a few thoughts on the revival:
- I didn't have high expectations, but the season really surprised me in positive. It managed to get that Scrubs flavor without sounding out of time.
- Even if the episodes are well written, it's pretty evident that having just 9 episodes didn't help in building the stories. I like the new character, I like some of the arcs, but overall some things felt too rushy. The Dr Cox story, which is pure gold in potential, ideally should have been developed in more than two episodes; the same for some of the storylines between the interns.
- Overall I'm satisfied, this really felt like a pilot for a new season with much more episodes. Don't know if they'll get the chance, but I'm sure that if they got it they'll do a great job 'cause I see a lot of potential in the things they have done in just 9 episodes.
Hi all!
Has someone read the novel Ohio? I've just finished the book and I really loved it (maybe sometimes a little too exuberant). The Bruce link: Markley has mentioned Youngstown and Darkness among the songs for his book playlist.
The story is set in Ohio not far from Youngstown, the city of the book reminds the song, but the main connection I find with Bruce was the sheer desperation of some characters who look like those in Darkness.
One character is a soldier and that's another strong link with Bruce's portrait of war's consequences on people.
Hi all!
I got no music theory knowledge, I was wondering if someone can explain the main differences between their styles of playing. I notice how they got very different styles during their solos (but I can't explain that lol), but I was wondering are there any significant differences when they're playing rythm guitar?
Clearly from the reunion tour they work together (and I remember a great reddit post about who does what), so I was thinking especially at the differences between Stevie 'till The River Tour and Nils in the BITUS one.
