Season 9. The season that "doesn't exist"
I was bored and started watching season 9 and it got me thinking. What do you find the most grating about this season. For me it is the reworked intro song. It hurts to listen to.

His original character was Bob Kelso lmao
It's hilarious! It made me think Kelso wasn't that crotchety and mean. Hopefully, someone remembers what episode. Do you think they actually do this in hospitals, though?
Anytime someone questions something Ive done even if I didnt go to a gas station I say this line.
I know Zach Braff gets a bad rep online for whatever reason, but I genuinely wanted to understand why. I know a lot of people criticized the age gap between him and Florence Pugh, and of course there’s that infamous Punk’d moment where he roughed up that kid 😂, but outside of that, is there something I’m missing?
Like, has he been known to be rude in real life, difficult on set, or a jerk to fans/cast members? Or is this more of an internet thing where people just decided they don’t like him? I’m honestly curious because whenever his name comes up, people act like he’s this massive asshole and I never really understood where it came from 😭
No disrespect to the thread of what do we want more of in the 2nd season, I feel it doesn’t fully allow for people to state what they want and do not want. Therefore an actual wishlist where can you post whatever you feel they should do less of, people you don’t want to see return, ones you do want to see more of, what plot lines you want to see continue, evolve etc.
I have a lot so buckle up, keeping in mind what they said they want for a second season, which I think they won’t do until a full season, but here it goes.
So what are some of yours? Please feel free to share.
I’m curious what everyone is hoping to get more of in season 2? I’ve seen mixed comments elsewhere with some people saying they feel like the old storylines are getting old and there isn’t much more to explore and some saying they’re excited for the show to get more into the new people and some only wanting it to be exactly like the original. Thoughts?
I’m just so curious what angle they’re gonna take on season 2. I personally am finding myself interested in them developing the new characters to solidify if we like them or not. I feel like they didn’t really get into them too much this last season so it’s hard to tell. I really liked what I saw of them though but there are some new characters I wish they dove more into. I feel like Dr. Cox is the only one from the older seasons Im really invested in. JD and Elliot are not interesting to me anymore but I do like to see this more mature grown up side of Turk. Maybe it’s because JD and Elliot feel stunted like they never grew up and it’s cringe and sad at times?? What makes a show interesting is watching characters grow and evolve not just giving us the old same version of them. Alternatively, passing the baton to newer generations which allows for us to see the old characters step into a more mature role while getting a fresh perspective from younger generations. I know it’s risky but im still interested to see it since the new characters have been proven likable to some extent.
Scrubs is my FAVORITE show. It brings me a lot of comfort. I have rewatched it every year since 2012. Some years, more than once. Anyway, every time I watch it I have a new perspective.
As a teenager I thought it was silly and goofy (I still think this). And I definitely looked up to Carla & Turk’s relationship and shipped Elliott & JD. But as an adult, I have started to pick the men’s behavior apart. The way they treat the women in the show irks me.
Watching it when I was 24, I had just gotten out of a bad breakup and it brought me comfort. Watching it when I was 25 was fun because I started dating and I felt like I really related to the characters. Watching it now, 26, I am in a healthy relationship, and I just jeep noticing how shitty the men in the show are.
Turk is a horrible spouse. His shitty vows (he ended up saying something sweet but after he majorly fucked up). He was rude as hell to her mom & brother. He was late to his own wedding??? Carla’s dream was to have a big beautiful wedding and he couldn’t even take the day off to make sure he was on time. BRUH. And he over sexualizes women and checks them out right in front of Carla. And when he doesn’t tell his ex he’s married. These are all deal breakers dude. Like that is not how you should treat your significant other.
And don’t get me started on JD with Elliott. Elliott had her faults, and when she ended it with Sean to be with JD….And JD turns around and is like teehee never mind!!! BRUHHH. No wonder they ended up divorced lol! I think Sean is the only good man in the show lmfao.
I love JD & Turk’s friendship though I think it’s so sweet. I have friends like this in my life.
& btw, I still love the show so much, it cracks me up!! It brings me a lot of comfort but I just had to rant to see if anyone else felt the same! And I’ve been enjoying the reboot too!! :)
I'd like to know why you enjoy Scrubs and what your other favorite sitcoms are?
In general, it's really difficult for me to get into new shows (even shows that are now my absolute favorites). I feel like Scrubs could be a show I enjoy if I give it enough of a chance, but I'm on Season 1 Episode 4 and don't know whether I want to stick with it.
My favorites are Arrested Development, Community, and New Girl. I also like The Office, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Is Dr. Dashana Trainor suppose to be unlikeable? Or is it just me?
Today, at my local op shop, I found a ton of Scrubs DVDs, including a box set that came out during the original home release in 2006. I already have Season 5 the way they sell them now, but I decided to buy this because I thought it was a cool part of the history. It's also my favourite season, by far. I think the actual cases have been repackaged, and disc 4 is unfortunately missing, but I'm excited to have it nonetheless.
Edit: Okay so clearly this is a bootleg then. That's egg on my face lol. I'll add that I didn't know this at the time of purchase and I'm not supporting any future bootlegging because, as I said, it was from a secondhand shop. Thanks to everyone who pointed it out!
Christopher Lloyd and Ted from Scrubs. Uncle and nephew. Never put that together.
