The continuity error at the beginning of Full Metal Jacket has always bugged the shit out of me.

As Hartman walks down the line, he passes Cowboy, Joker, (random guy who looks like Snowball), (other random guy), and Lawrence in that order. Lawrence is one man down from being on the far end of the line.

When Joker makes his comment ("Am I John Wayne?"), they cut back to the other side of the room and Lawrence is now one man over from Cowboy's left instead of three men down from his right.

Sure hope someone got fired for that blunder.

I'm watching the Martin Short documentary and it just occurred to me, he would have made a picture perfect Bilbo Baggins.

The spastic energy and nervousness, his ability to switch to being completely earnest on a dime, and he LOOKS like a Hobbit.

What a shame to live in a world where they missed that opportunity.

A mid 80s live action Hobbit film, directed by Jim Henson or Terry Gilliam, effects by the Jim Henson Company.

Martin Short as Bilbo, Richard Harris as Gandalf, James Earl Jones voicing Smaug, Beorn is a creation of Jim Henson's people, Bruce Spence as Gollum, David Bowie as Thranduil, Brian Blessed as Dain II Ironfoot, Cary Elwes as Bard the Bowman.

I'm not fan-casting the dwarves, make em all Muppets. Lets say Kermit as Thorin, proceed as you please.

Edit: JOHN CANDY AS TOM, BILL, AND BURT!

I vaguely recall Dave England got seriously injured doing the firehose rodeo, am I remembering wrong?

Didn't he tear his anus or have a prolapse or something? I can't find anything about it on Google but I could swear I heard it somewhere.

We tend to think of war as a 1 v 1 kind of deal, has there ever been a war or anything where three or more factions or groups of people have gone to war?

And not alliances or anything, but groups of people who are completely opposed to one another who went to war for whatever reason.
