Ubisoft. You ruined it Edward's loading screen.😭You can still fix it. Why replace a whole animation with a camera flip effect? Assassin's Creed Black Flag was better because of fun moments like these.

Quick question about resynced

Does anyone know yet if walking is the default movement when pushing the movement stick all the way forward? (Like the original)

I haven’t been able to tell from the gameplay yet. Might not seem like a big deal, but to me it’s a big difference compared to the default jog of the newer titles.

anyone else kinda worried Black Flag remake might feel too much like Shadows?

not trying to be negative bc honestly I do think using the same engine/framework from Shadows for the Black Flag remake is a pretty smart idea

like on paper it makes total sense. the devs already have a polished base to build from, improvements can carry over, future games probably become easier to make, and ideally each game just keeps getting better instead of starting from scratch every time

but idk, the one thing that kinda worries me is that this could also lead to future AC games feeling too copy paste

one of the things I always liked about the older AC games was that they all felt different. sometimes in good ways, sometimes in bad ways, but still different. the animations, art style, UI, movement, combat, menus, general vibe, all of it. even when a game had issues it still felt like it had its own identity

and I think UI is a big part of that too. like icon markers, eagle vision UI, menu layouts, character customization screens, fonts, quick time events, button overlays, the way objectives pop up, all that small stuff. it might not seem huge on its own, but together it really affects how a game feels

with Black Flag, from what we’ve seen so far, I can already kinda imagine people saying it looks like Shadows with a pirate reskin. different map, different missions, different setting, but underneath its the same feel

and again I don’t think reusing the engine is bad. honestly it’s probably the right move. I just hope Ubisoft sees it as a starting point and not a template they’re scared to mess with

like use the tech, use the polish, use the improvements. but still make real changes game to game. different animations, different UI, different menus, different fonts, different features, different feel, etc. because if every future AC starts feeling like the same game with a new skin, I could see that becoming a huge pain point for the community

curious if anyone else feels this way or if I’m just overthinking it lol

Can you help with Kenaways fleet?

I’m at a loss for what to do next. I’ve just unlocked a minigame and salvaged some ships.

We played Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and it genuinely feels like Ubisoft understands why people loved the original

GameWatcher just came away from a preview of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and it seems like this feels way more ambitious than “just a remaster.”

https://www.gamewatcher.com/news/assassin-s-creed-black-flag-resynced-first-impressions

The biggest thing that stood out is how much smoother everything feels. Combat has been rebuilt to let you flow between pistols, swords, Hidden Blade kills, and parries without the old stop-start stiffness. Parkour also feels closer to the newer AC games, but still recognisably Edward Kenway.

Visually, it’s a massive leap from 2013 Black Flag. The Caribbean actually pops now - richer lighting, better ocean rendering, more detailed towns, upgraded character models, and surprisingly good facial animation work on Edward. Ubisoft seems to be leaning hard into preserving the original atmosphere while modernising the presentation.

What surprised us most is the amount of new content.

There are:

  • new narrative scenes
  • additional quests
  • recruitable fleet officers with gameplay perks
  • expanded naval systems
  • extra underwater content
  • new sea shanties
  • dynamic weather affecting ship handling

Also worth mentioning: Matt Ryan returning as Edward seems to be landing emotionally for fans and even for him personally. He’s been talking a lot about how nostalgic it felt revisiting the role after 13 years.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced literally unplayable. Edward drinks like a true Pirate in 2013's Black Flag. He drinks like an aristocrat in Resynced.

I have to state that this is obviously sarcasm for thsie who didn't get it.

Is it just me, or does it seem like you can't whistle or make assassinations from behind walls like in the original?

I have this doubt that I haven't been able to figure out, since it doesn't show up in any of the gameplay videos they've released. I don't know if it's because they're not using it to showcase the new features or if they actually removed it. If they really removed this, oh my God... 🤦🏻‍♂️🙎🏻‍♂️

What is Delicia? And other questions

Was just rewatching the E3 2013 Trailer for Black Flag and noticed that the ship showed in the ending scene isn’t actually the Jackdaw. It seems to have the name “Delicia” on the ship unlike the Jackdaw which, of course, has the name “Jackdaw” on it. Also in the trailer, the “Delicia” ship has non-curved windows on the back of the ship while the “Jackdaw” has curved windows at the back of the ship. Is there any info on this “Delicia” ship and why it was shown in the trailer?

Also, what is the glass/diamond thing that Edward is holding and looking at on the “Delicia” ship at the end of the trailer? Any info on it?

And for the scene in the trailer that shows a view of someone on the “Delicia” ship looking at Edward, Adewale, and other people, is this a person relating to the story/lore who is looking through the spyglass or just a shot for the trailer? If it is a person relating to the story/lore, what is the info on this?

Last thing, did you know that Edward drops a cup in the scene right before the first shots of the ship battle in the trailer are fired? He seemingly drops the cup close to the edge of the ship so wouldn’t that be a risk of losing a cup? Like what’s the point of just randomly dropping a cup there?

Anyone else want muskets and axes to be fully equipable in the new game?

Does anyone else wish the new game expanded on how muskets and axes worked in the original?

Combat with muskets and axes was really fun in the original game, and I think it would be incredible to see it return in the new one.

But instead of using those weapons the same way as before, I’d love for the game to let you actually carry them around with you. In the original, your main weapons stayed on your character no matter what you were doing — parkour, climbing, jumping, etc. — but muskets and axes couldn’t really be stored or equipped like that.

It would be awesome if the new game let you keep those weapons on your character and use them whenever you want, instead of only in certain situations.

I found it did we ever learn what happened?

was just casually playing through the freedom cry DLC and a diving point and I find the legendary Jackdaw did we ever learn how she sunk?

I'll say we sail back on the Jackdaw... And sink the resellers' ship...

In 3 days, the showcase for Resynced will be 1 month old, including the reveal of the limited "Collector Edition".

A Collection Edition sold out in less than 48h. On every websites and all platforms...

But who are most of the the lucky buyers how could get their hands on this beautiful collection ? A lot of Long time fans ? A lot of New fans maybe ?

NOPE ! NOTHING MORE THAN GREEDY... (sorry for the harsh language but hard to argue about it...) ...BASTARDS OR BOTS USED BY SAID BASTARDS !

So i'll say we fire the cannons (not literally, report them of course) on Ebay's and other website's similar sells and sink the market !

Let's fight their Greed and sink the price back to retail price !
