Hello all. I am in the process of collecting documents and just wanted to ask about somethings that I have found. I will post my family tree down below and state what I know and my questions at the bottom:
Great Great Grandfather:
Born in 1869 Germany to German Parents
Emigrated to Colombia in 1896~
Frequented between Colombia and Germany until 1914, owned a home in Germany in 1912~
Lived rest of life in Colombia.
Great Grandfather:
Born in 1901 Colombia
Married in 1930 to an American
Grandfather:
Born in 1938 Colombia
Married in 1967~ (remembering don't have the document on hand)
As a key part later he naturalized in Australia 1983
Father:
Born in 1974 United States
Married in 2000
Naturalized in 1983 as a minor on the same certificate as my grandfather.
Me:
Born in 2005 United States
I am a citizen of Australia, USA, and Brazil by descent.
My main question is if the Naturalization in 1983 when my dad was 9 eliminates me from a potential German Citizenship. As I understand the naturalization process in Australia allowed for parents to add their kids onto the same certificate. Would this mean the chain was broken at that moment? Is there ways to say he was 9 and had no agency? Thanks for any help if there is some other information I can give to make a more whole picture let me know and I will do my best to add.
