How Much Space Should I Give My Spouse?

I learned last November that I'm trans, and a month or so later I told my wife, who wasn't thrilled. Since then I've been going to a therapist to get a diagnosis for gender dysphoria, which takes a half-year through my clinic. I've also been attending a small monthly local LGBT meetup to try and make some friends, and I've been doing this all openly and trying to maintain clear communication, though my wife hasn't engaged with it, and told me that she 'couldn't think about it yet' a few months ago when I tried to confront her silence.

Yesterday I brought home a consent form that she also needs to sign before I receive a diagnosis. I didn't present it to her yet, but I get the feeling that she must have seen it, because she's very suddenly not talking much, which usually means she's got a lot of stress and anxiety on her mind. I asked if she wanted to talk this morning but she said no. I don't know how to balance the need to get more communication against her need for some space to process things.
