JHA based training

JHA based training

I work in a manufacturing plant.

One of the ways they are trying to increase safety is with weekly Job Hazard Analysis that each supervisor does.

Then they select a safety topic to train on. The training consists of the supervisor reading from a page. Like the attached photo. Then all operators signing to acknowledge they have been trained.

Usually the topics are very basic. A few have been higher level. However the info is presented very nonchalantly.
Including comments like it’s BS but we gotta go over this with you. Just sign it and don’t worry about. Sometimes they don’t even read it out loud but just pass it around.

This one is supposed to cover evacuation. In more than 3 years we have not had any drills or test of the fire system. Also, the loud speaker does not work in all areas. It’s been worked on and it’s the best they can do. Is this reasonable
and if not what are the steps to report it.

Are these type trainings supposed to be beneficial or just something to put in a file folder to CYA.

Also can it hurt us if we don’t sign or comment on the form.
