I applied for Canada visitor visa from USA, completed biometrics and submitted passport per request at NYC VAC yesterday. Today, passport was sent to IRCC and IRCC sent the decision envelope back to VAC. I got an email saying my application status has changed. I logged in to see and it status says “application closed”. But when I click on it, it says background verification in progress and decision has not been made yet.

VFS sent an email saying that the decision envelope is ready for pick up. What does this mean? Is it approved or refused? TIA!
