Will be heading to Ames soon for a 1 night stay. I need help narrowing down hotel options.

Must be nice(!) and clean, comfortable, and a good swimming pool (so also kid friendly). Exact location doesn’t matter. Cost is not a factor.

I refuse to stay anywhere that feels even the slightest bit run down or dated, so if anyone has any personal, recent experience to help I’d appreciate it!
