We have one girl in our troop who will be repeating a grade. Anything I need to think about as her leader? I’ve heard that Girl Scouts generally lets the family decide whether the girl sticks with where she was in scouts or also “repeats” a year in Girl Scouts to stay with her grade level. Any considerations that I haven’t thought of for our first time with this coming up? On the surface, it would work better for our troop for her to stick with the level she started in, but it doesn’t matter much if it would be better for her somehow to repeat the Girl Scout year. She’s a younger sister in our troop so she is already the only girl at that grade level in our troop and next year she would be our only Brownie anyway so there’s not much of a difference if she’s our only Brownie for two years instead of one. I’d love to hear about your experiences if this has come up in your troop.
