Good morning. Been lurking a while and have gotten most questions answered from reading other's posts and the comments that followed.
I'm a one man show and have been running a sprinter van the last 9 months and have done fairly well. Looking to add more equipment and I decided to go hotshot instead of adding a box truck (also welcome to comments on this decision). I'm to the point of acquiring the equipment and am having difficulty with choosing a trailer.
If you were to start over as a non-CDL hotshot operator, would you go with a 32ft with 11.2klbs capacity, or a 40ft with 9750lbs capacity?
I've been leaning towards the 40ft most the time but after getting into the capacity nitty-gritty I'm a little stuck and would really appreciate some insight from the real pros. I'll reapond when I can, but thanks in advance!
