Hey everyone,

So, I've just bought a used OnePlus13 via eBay (private, bought via PayPal). Today it arrived, but I'm really confused about the warning message that appeared as I powered it up:

"Orange state - Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted"

So, what exactly does this mean? I can't risk using a compromised mobile phone, as I intent to use it for things like online banking.
For your information, this was the seller's additional description regarding the fact that it's a chinese version:

Important Technical Information (Please Read):

This is the Chinese hardware version (model CPH2649). It is identical in construction to the global version but has two distinctive features:

No eSIM Support: The device has a dual-SIM slot for two physical nano-SIM cards but does not support digital eSIMs.

Software flexibility: Currently, the global software OxygenOS 16.0.0.210 (based on Android 16) is installed.

Advantage: Full Google Services, German language, and the familiar Android design.

Note: In this configuration (Cross-Flash), automatic Over-the-Air (OTA) updates are not supported. These would need to be installed manually.

Optional service: Before shipping, I’m happy to switch the device back to the original ColorOS upon request (which includes OTA updates, but primarily features English/Chinese system languages).

When I ordered the phone, I wanted him to switch back to the original OS, as I do want OTA and have no problems with an english system.

So, what do I do now? I'm completely lost here and need advice.
