Council Action

🚨BREAKING! If YOU don’t want your 10 Acres of our historic civic center lands given away to the Oracle Corporation, read below and make your voice heard this Tuesday, May 19, 7pm @ City Hall . BE THERE or CALL IN TO ZOOM ‼️

👉🏼Santa Clara is considering a proposal to move City Hall from Warburton Avenue to the old Agnews property near Oracle.

The proposal involves an Exclusive Negotiation Agreement between the City and VOP Agnews, LLC meaning no final approval has been made yet. The agreement would allow both sides to study a possible land swap and future development plans.

Under the concept:

1). City Hall could move to Agnews
2). The current City Hall site could later become housing
3). The developer would continue residential development on other Agnews property

The City says the current City Hall is outdated, too small, and spread across multiple buildings. Environmental review and future approvals would still be required before anything moves forward.

The City Council hearing is Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Moving City Hall to Agnews?! Not a good idea! Another generational mistake! Vote no. Focus on the 2023 council approved Downtown Precise Plan. The only Bay Area city with NO Downtown. Destroyed in 1963.
