Frequent UK visitor

Hi everyone, I stay in India and visit the UK frequently, 3/4 times a year for work.

While I have many work contacts but don't have friends in UK. Colleagues are mostly whites.

Any tips on how to make friends or Meet new people?

Please don't suggest pubs, people there are already in groups or drunk, not interested in talking to someone new.

ICICI Emeralde & Other Cards

Got ICICI EMERALDE credit card, which I mostly want to use for international lounge access, the credit limit is 40K per month, which is a joke tbh. Mostly the Credit Card expenses will be travelling, so planning to get another card for it.

Apart from that will apply for a SBI cashback card, for buying electronics items. Almost 1/2 mobiles, laptops etc. every year in the family.

Not too big on reward points. Just want a hassle free value option, where I don't have to over optimise.

Cibil - 750+

Age - 33

Income & Employment - have business, show around 20 lakh, but can be flexible 😜

Expenses: Travel, Electronics, Eating out in High end restaurant once every 2 months, normal restaurant - Almost twice a week but not worried about rewards there. Movies sometimes. Shopping on Amazon - often, but not high value. Transactions value might be around Rs 5K per month.

Lounge : Yes, Important. Also like Emeralde giving Golf access.

Other special needs: Don't want to make it too complicated. Just 2-3 normal cards, which take care of the cashbacks and lounge.

For international spend, I don't use Indian cards.

P.S. - The main reason I went for this card was Unlimited International Lounge access. And occasional Golf round. Only other card with unlimited lounge benefit was - Infinia, for which I didn't have approval. Or am I missing something? Why is it a bad card?
