How to get back "Ultra" render res? "Native" is noticeably blurrier. Revert build? Mods?
I thought it was just because I played after 3 days of not playing at all because the game drive stopped showing up on the system. But then I took a new screenshot with "Native" at the same place as an old one with "Ultra" and clearly not.
I don't think I can continue playing the way it is. Also things in the distance seems to be lower-quality with no way to change it. I don't recall seeing low-res trees in distances on release build with Ultra. At least not in motion, that they popped in more detail when you got closer. Can I revert to the release build as-is or do I have to resume from pre-update game saves..
Do I have to use something like this? https://modworkshop.net/mod/55973 I avoid mods so game saves are "pure", but this probably won't do anything to them. Mod page claims Ultra was 99%. If that's the case, Native now is more like 80% with some additional traits like noticeable lower-res details at a distance.
Its Ultra is 125% supposedly. Idk how that works, I want to avoid AA but at least in Insurgency Sandstorm rendering more than 100% is an AA method and is worse than 100%.
Why are they even like that to begin with? If Ultra is 99%, why is there not a slider or the setting says 99%? What's with the abstraction?
I saw some potential crash fixes from newer builds that made me interested, I don't know if Vostok causes system crashes from itself or if it was because the game drive I was using was also keeping the pagefile and it was failing. I still have boot logo glitches without the game drive installed so Idk. Maybe those are unrelated. I can imagine if the SSD was failing and it was tied to the system via the pagefile, that the entire system would fail when it does. Idk if the boot logo glitches suggest GPU or whatever component may also be at fault or if that's just visual in booting. I have no graphical glitches after boot.
