Hey everyone, I need help with my 2010 Toyota Camry LE. My trunk is completely stuck/jammed and I have important stuff inside.
Here’s what happened:
- I loaded a lot of stuff into the trunk, including two luggages and other items.
- The trunk closed fine that day.
- The next day, I tried opening it and it would not open at all.
- I think the luggage/stuff may have shifted and is pressing against the trunk latch from inside.
What I’ve tried so far:
- The key makes a clicking sound when I turn it in the trunk lock, but the trunk still does not open.
- The trunk release button/lever near the driver’s seat does not open it either.
- I tried manually opening it with the key inserted in the trunk lock, but it still will not open.
- I tried pushing down on the trunk while turning the key/releasing it, but that did not work.
- I called a locksmith, but they said they cannot really help because it is not a key/lock issue — it seems physically jammed.
- The rear seats do not fold down because the release controls are inside the trunk.
Any advice would be appreciated. I have important items in the trunk and need to get access without causing damage.
