Pillars of the Haz and Megs narrative that have now crumbled into dust

So many.

The "freedom flight" in 2020 brought H&M to true freedom, complete with kneeling pilot thanking Meghan for all she did for the UK

Harry is deliriously happy in California, loves the beach life, and would never, never want to go back to salty island.

Meghan's jam company "As ever" is a smashing success, and is earning money hand over fist.

Also, Harry and Meghan have tens of millions of dollars in the bank from his inheritance and her acting career, and will never need money.

Netflix values Meghan's talent and will always back her

Harry and Meghan would never think of going back to the UK without the guarantee of armed security they need.

Harry hated growing up in England and would never subject his children to what he went through.

Meghan and Harry are dedicated to raising their children California casual like Meghan instead of stiff British like William and Catherine's poor children.

Meghan was so traumatized by what the British tabloids and the BRF put her through that she would never set food there again.

Clap back, here comes Meghan! (yet again)

Well, that didn't take long. She's hauled out one of the judges from MasterChef Australia to tell People magazine SHE WAS A MODEL CITIZEN on the set of MasterChef Australia! In fact, practically perfect! She was terribly frustrated that she was referred to as royalty. Really!

"A source close to the show told PEOPLE at the time that, despite the reports, there was no conflict or tension between Meghan and Yeow during filming and no request for an apology. The source adds that reports Yeow was “upset” or that production was required to intervene are false."

Plus, "she knows her food", so all you people out there who don't like her jam can just shut it! /s

Okay, Meghan. It's 2026. It's not the 1990s, when everything People said was taken as gospel truth. We all know it's pay-to-play now.

Another day, another ill-fitting beige and white outfit

This photo was taken at the ‘Cookie Queen’s’ screening at Camp Arnaz, California. Both the top and shorts look two sizes too big. The proportions are wrong for her figure too.

https://preview.redd.it/i9nq0wn2iegh1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=def388a1a6b5e764dedb928fe17dfbd366436641

Those shorts, especially, are so unflattering. They make her legs look even skinnier. It makes me wonder whether she's now shopping for clothes on Poshmark and similar, and not paying as much attention to the sizes as to the designer labels.

It's increasingly difficult to believe anyone claiming Harry is "hot" or a "fox"

When sugars want to sing Harry's praises, they use photos like this to accompany their adoring statements:

https://preview.redd.it/2u7da6q9v0fh1.png?width=514&format=png&auto=webp&s=666064cc068f706127d6c2b6326e70350813baa6

.... when he hasn't looked like this in 15+ years. Instead of using up-to-date photos. Like this:

Why is that? I guess the cognitive dissonance is just too much to take.

Humor me. Does anyone think that, if Harry and Meghan HAD made a smashing success of their new life in the US -- say, Meghan starring in blockbuster films with A-list actors, and Haz becoming a major force in the charity world -- they would now be eager to return to England and meet with the King?

Yes, yes, I know. Given who Harry and Meghan actually are as people, this scenario had a snowball's chance in hell of happening in real life.

But say it had. Would they be champing at the bit to go back in 2026?

And what would their relationship with the King, William, and Catherine have evolved into?

And would the children still be hidden away?

People Magazine now says MM and the children WILL come to the UK this week -- and a commenter says they've seen the family around Montecito.

https://people.com/meghan-markle-prince-archie-princess-lilibet-will-travel-uk-fist-time-since-2022-12007673

Archived version: https://archive.is/ry9py

A commenter on the story with the username 93018 writes: "Have seen the family out and about on occasion. The children strikingly resemble their father. The Duchess is shorter than I thought - about 5 foot 3 in flats; petite with very thin arms and legs. The Prince looks to be about 6 foot 2 and very, very, fair - he's fond of ball caps and sports them regularly. They really do keep to themselves and never seen without their staff. Town folk politely nod in their direction and we receive a nod and smile and a wave back at times."

The story says: "Amid days of uncertainty surrounding the Sussexes’ travel plans, new reports indicate that Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are expected to travel to Britain later this week. According to The Telegraph, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, will return to her husband’s homeland with their son, Prince Archie, 7, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, 5. However, Meghan and the children are not expected to make any public appearances."

Meghan must be feeling very torn right now. On the one hand, not making any public appearances means no attention, no merching of outfits, no photographers ... usually a fate worse than death for her. But on the other hand, what if no one cares or shows up? Or what if they do show up -- and boo?

Statement by Nicole Lampert, journalist for the Daily Mail

A few weeks after my father died I had to face five hours of ever more ridiculous and desperate questioning in the High Court about how I sourced stories more than 20 years ago.

At one point their barrister, plucking at straws in a way that was truly shocking, even claimed I must have hacked the police to find out how much Elton John was spending on the security for his wedding. When it was much more likely his PR had told me.

My former colleagues and I saw our reputations being challenged in court off the back of lies and fakery. A whole court case which cost millions and created huge stress for hundreds of us, was concocted by convicted fraudsters. I was constantly amazed it had even made it into the courtroom because there was no substance to any of it.

So I’m pleased Prince Harry and his merry band of money grabbing celebrities have totally and utterly lost this court case with not a single one of their grubby allegations proven.

Will Meghan be booed if/when they go to the UK?

They were booed the last time they went, as we know. So I think there's a very good chance it will happen again.

This is another factor that supports the idea that they are only making this trip because they are broke and desperate, and it's all they have left. Why else would MM expose herself to humiliation, especially when she has implied that the UK is a dreadful, racist place?

Perhaps she thinks that if the children are with them, they will be shielded from booing. But as we saw, not even Prince William's children were spared nasty heckling in public. So it could be even worse for A and L.

I do agree with those who say that this trip will be the big reveal of the children's faces.

She just can't keep herself from clapping back -- "Meghan Markle Defends Her Decision To Share Photos Of Her Children On Instagram" in Newsweek

Archived version: https://archive.ph/EJN7T

Some excerpts:

Meghan Markle's spokesperson has defended the Duchess of Sussex's decision to share photos of her children on Instagram while criticizing social media, telling Newsweek, "There is a distinction between sharing moments from her life and exposing her children to public scrutiny."

Meghan's spokesperson told Newsweek**: "The Duchess has always been clear that there is a distinction between sharing moments from her life and exposing her children to public scrutiny. By obscuring their faces, she is demonstrating the very principle she advocates for: giving children privacy, agency, and protection in an increasingly digital world.**

"Far from being contradictory, by concealing their faces she is actually reflecting the message she delivered in Geneva: that parents can choose to share family experiences while still taking deliberate steps to protect identities, privacy, and digital footprint."

Since 2025, the duchess has been back on Instagram and posts photos of her children but generally with their faces obscured to protect their privacy. This has led to significant backlash with critics arguing that she is simultaneously claiming to shield them from publicity while inviting attention at the same time.

Based on her spokesperson's statement to Newsweek, Meghan appears to be inclined to double down rather than back down over the images.

Meghan and Harry have made opposing the harms caused by digital technology a key plank of their campaigning dating to 2020, when they backed a Facebook boycott by Stop Hate for Profit.

However, at the time, they were not on social media. Scrutiny has been growing since Meghan's return to Instagram in 2025, in particular over her policy of posting photos of their children online with their faces obscured.

In particular, Meghan posted an image of herself getting ready to fly to Geneva for the speech on May 16. The image showed the black suit she would wear to give the speech, complete with its Giorgio Armani label, while Lilibet was crouched in front of Meghan.

Nick Ede, a U.K. brand and culture expert, told Newsweek: "The day before she went and did that speech, she posted a picture of herself and her daughter and then literally had the Armani label out of the Armani suit that she's wearing to a very important speech.**

"She can commercialize her social media, obviously as an adult, but it just felt very hypocritical. We know she's a hypocrite so there's no two ways about it.

"This is still the huge problem with Meghan, it is the whole identity crisis. One minute she's a savior, allegedly, of all children who've unfortunately lost their lives through social media and the next minute she's a social media influencer. So what are you?"

Supporters might counter that she has sought to strike a balance between sparing her children the paparazzi harassment Prince Harry experienced as a child and wanting to maintain some relationship with fans.

However, Ede was not alone in picking up on the juxtaposition. Left leaning U.K. newspaper The Independent ran a column headlined: "I’ve had it with the hypocrisy of social media mums like Meghan."

Journalist Claire Cohen wrote: "'Posture parenting’ is all the rage ... but any fool can see that sharing your emoji-faced little darling over and again betrays their privacy rather than protecting it."

Meanwhile, The Daily Beast wrote: "Yes, a woman who is about to stand alongside the world’s most senior public health official and discuss the measurable, preventable harms of exposing children to social media has just exposed her own child to social media."

Very odd that Meghan didn't attend, considering Jose appeared on her cooking show not long ago.

Prince Harry enjoyed a solo date night over the weekend as he attended a book launch in Los Angeles. The Duke of Sussex attended an event in Downtown LA for the book launch of José Andrés’ new cookbook, Spain My Way.

He beamed as he posed with his friend and other guests at the event, held at Mr Andrés’ restaurant, San Laurel, located on the 10th floor of Conrad Los Angeles.

According to Hello! Magazine, other guests included conductor Gustavo Dudamel, journalist Maria Shriver, actress Kyra Sedgwick, actor Tyler James Williams and chefs Wolfgang Puck and Roy Choi.

From overpriced jam to overpriced claw clips. Meghan's plastic hair clips @ $58. .

From What Meghan Wore.

Only the craziest of sugars would pay almost $60 for these to look like their kween. You can get something similar at the CVS or on Amazon for under $12. Guess it's more "royal" coming from Crown Affair.

Crown Affair's slogan is: "Luxury haircare and tools that turn everyday routines into meaningful rituals, helping support healthier hair with ease and intention." That word salad could have come straight off of As ever's website. Could see the appeal for Meghan, who would no doubt also think a $58 price tag makes a plastic hair clip "elevated".

Jonathan Haidt, NYU professor, critic of social media, and acclaimed author, be careful -- you could be the next to be Markled.

Haidt posted this on IG today:

https://preview.redd.it/z74ruzdlt62h1.png?width=1036&format=png&auto=webp&s=bec95db426ac37ae89f4bfe3903300ae4868a73c

Last fall, he stated in a Vanity Fair article ("Jonathan Haidt Explains Why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Reached Out To Him") that he "met Meghan and Harry after Archewell reached out to his organization, After Babel. They finally connected at last year’s World Mental Health Day.

“I was greatly honored by that, but I then had to rush back to my class,” Haidt said. He apologized to his students, then explained that he was late by showing them a picture of him posing with Harry. “So the students cut me some slack.”

“I’m not that familiar with all of the things that Archewell does,” he said. “I just know that they have been bringing together the parents, helping the parents tell their story—helping them say that their child’s life matters.”

Maybe he should get familiar with what Archewell does, particularly their finances.

This is exactly the same method of clout-chasing that MM used to hook Gloria Steinem. In that case, the subject was feminism.

In this case, MM is attaching herself to Haidt to legitimize and add his stardust to her new cause, kids and social media. I suspect the poor guy was blinded by the royal titles (he apparently asked for a selfie with Harry) and didn't do his due diligence. Does anyone think he knows Meghan posts photos of her kids on her Instagram to sell her products?

(Yet again, this is why H&M cling to those titles so fiercely. Without them, someone like Haidt wouldn't know or care who they were.)

WHY did Harry and Meghan choose May 19 as their wedding date?

https://preview.redd.it/a3jtlhhr552h1.jpg?width=254&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91ce7de17e4d8ea348f84494fd53829b934b10df

It's hard to think of a less auspicious date for a British royal to marry a commoner. Especially for a red-headed one named Henry marrying a black-haired, dark-eyed woman!

May 19 is the date of the execution of Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII. To marry her, he had alienated his family, turned his back on his responsibilities to his kingdom, thumbed his nose at the religion of his birth, and sent thousands of people to their deaths.

However, when Anne didn't live up to her promises of what life would be like after they married (specifically, that she would bear him sons), AND he tired of her flirtations with other men and sharp tongue (she had unkind things to say about his bedroom skills), he got rid of her. She was beheaded at the Tower of London on May 19, 1536.

Obviously, it was not Anne's fault that she gave birth to a daughter and then had miscarriages. In those days, the blame was always put on the woman, not the man.

We all know that Harry has little knowledge or interest in history. His tutor at Eton was shocked that he couldn't even be bothered to study the monarchs in his own family. And let's say that Meghan's teenage obsession with the BRF didn't extend past Princess Diana. But still.

Was there no courtier, or even the Queen, who was aware of what that date meant in royal history when the wedding was being planned? Really? Or they told Haz and Megs, but the duo didn't care?

I dunno, maybe Meghan wanted her wedding on the anniversary of the day Marilyn Monroe sang "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" to John F. Kennedy in that super-tight dress? (totally not being serious here!)

And then there's the old saying, "Marry in May, rue the day." (No offense meant to fellow sinners married in May!) Full explanation of this here: https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/may-wedding-bad-luck-spiritual-meaning

"Meanwhile, the people of southern France had a very, um, explicit explanation. According to an 1840 article about superstitions within the region, the entire month of May was "rejected by the young girls who are betrothed; and they frankly say upon the subject, that it is not suitable to marry at a period when the asses are amorous."

Meghan has dinner with known racist and sexual harasser and poses for selfie with him

See my post below titled "Harry says she'll let you do anything!" for full information.

More information came in after I had already made the post, and we can't change titles once they are published.

Between cozying up to this guy who calls Nigerians the N-word, and pushing Lili onto her Instagram the day before making a speech on keeping kids off social media, Meghan's hypocrisy is off the charts. And all within 48 hours!

This is a more accurate title. Thank you.

"Harry says she'll let you do anything!"

This is what I read in the expression of Meghan's enthusiastic dinner partner from last night, the Finnish Minister for Social Care, Wille Rydman (see photo below). Looking very cozy ....

ETA: Some very interesting background info on MM's dinner partner Wille Rydman from Wikipedia (backed by citations):

In June 2022, Helsingin Sanomat published an article in which Rydman was accused of grooming and sexually harassing young women and girls**, while taking advantage of his status as a politician. In the article, some of the women described Rydman's use of violence and offers of alcohol even to underage girls.**

Shortly after being named Minister of Economic Affairs in 2023, as the Finns Party ministers in the Orpo Cabinet faced several controversies, Helsingin Sanomat published a series of text messages Rydman had sent to his then-partner Amanda Blick in 2016 in which he used racist language. Rydman had been a 30-year-old Member of Parliament during this time. In the messages Rydman juxtaposes himself with Nazis and attacks immigrants with racist terms. On one message, when Blick had told Rydman how she would like a Hebrew name for her child "such as Immanuel", Rydman answered: "We Nazis don't really like that kind of kike things." On another, Rydman is complaining about Germany letting its Nazi architecture deteriorate. In other racist messages Rydman calls people from the Middle East as "monkeys" and "desert monkeys". While pondering about the heritability of his brown eyes, Rydman established: "Even if I bred with a pitch-black Nigerian nigger the child would still have a 26% chance to have green eyes."

I tried to post a screen shot of Rydman's tweet "A dinner with Meghan", but it was deleted over and over. Many thanks to SharkBoss1234 for posting the photo in the comments below!

What a difference 8 1/2 years make! Also, interesting to look at photos of Doria and Thomas when young, now that we have some idea what A and L look like from the coy side views on Instagram

This article with photos appeared in the Daily Mail on November 11, 2017, six months before H&M got married and also before their engagement. Note all the compliments on Doria's intelligence, the quotes from friends on her beauty as a young woman, and the positive descriptions of Thomas.

https://www.dailymail.com/news/article-5073633/The-look-hooked-Meghan-s-dad.html?mrn_rm=als1

Archived version: https://archive.is/GZ0m2

These are hardly rabid, racist attacks from the British press. The comments, too, mostly from Brits, are overwhelmingly positive. (You can't put much stock in the up and down arrow votes, because readers can vote anytime from the time of publication right up to the present.).

Regarding the royal family, a majority of the comments are very much in favor of Meghan marrying in and the progress this would symbolize. You would never believe this listening to the sugars. But there they are.

Looking at the photos of young Doria and young Thomas, to me it looks like Archie resembles Doria, and Lili resembles Thomas. Thoughts?

Doria was 16 and a sophomore in high school in this 1972 photo. She doesn't appear in the 1973 or 1974 yearbooks (online at Ancestry), so she either dropped out or moved before she graduated.

Here is a yearbook photo of Doria the DM missed, from the GAA Club. She looks very determined:

Here is a better version of the photo of Thomas from his senior year in high school:
