Just a sketch, it’s been a while since I watched the show

Cole is one of the Challengers native to Unova. This hothead and his team of fire types ride around the region looking for battles wherever they can find them. When he’s not fighting he’ll occasionally drop by Pokestar studios to help with their action films.

Genghis the emboar was his first teammate, the two having known each other from a young age. Despite his bulk and power Gen’s a gentle soul. Kala the darmanitan is the real powerhouse of the team. The sheer force of her attacks makes her control of her flames unstable, often resulting in explosive fire punches. Adelita the heatmor is the resident tank, bulky enough to fend off fast and powerful opponents and more than fierce enough to strike back.

Here we have a sketch page for the Challengers. Pages like this are to help me get an idea of what everyone looks like. In a group of 18 people being able to distinguish everyone’s important even with minimal color.

This time we’ll be taking a look at a planet’s past. A planet that no longer exists. The Incursean’s warrior culture facilitated many conflicts between their differing war bands. The never ending conflicts were tearing their planet apart.

Wanting to end the battles, a lone warrior stole a powerful artifact created by one of the most brilliant minds in the galaxy. He hoped the stolen weapon would bring his planet together. Ironically it would go on to do quite the opposite…

I’m currently working on the stat spreads for each race and decided to make little illustrations to go with them. I don’t normally work with chalk and ink but I think they turned out alright.
