Week 20: Jams and Jellies - Torta Antica Roma (Ricotta and Sour Cherry Jam Tart) [Meta: Alphabetical]

The cookbook Milk Street Backroads Italy has a recipe for torta antica roma, a tart inspired by the traditional Roman combination of ricotta and cherries. I found it here. This was so delicious! It was a perfect amount of sweet for my lack of a sweet tooth. The sour cherry jam was a beautiful discovery, and I will definitely be having it again. I also bought a springform pan and used it for the first time just for this lol so hopefully that turns out to be useful.

I was very unenthused about this theme, because I already did Alpine in January! So I decided to go a bit off topic. Alpine technically means “related to any mountains.” Quinoa is from the Andean region of South America. Therefore, quinoa salad is an alpine dish and I’m sticking with that story. This recipe was easy and delicious and I will be making it again. I love how flexible it is too! I used cherry tomatoes and roasted asparagus and green beans.
