As Hearthstone becomes increasingly cumbersome to run on a phone, I've been wondering why the mobile client/desktop has no option no reduce animations that occur in the game. Still player portraits, particle effects reduced to damage taken/added; Just the bare necessities to play the game. This is a quality of life change that I think would vastly improve player experience for mobile users and folks who just want less movement going on.

There's the issue of players with animations on/off, but you could simply employ a little timer or indicator that animations are occurring and waiting to be resolved.

I'm also interested on what people think of a separate game mode where animations are just plain turned off and turn times are shortened. A kind of 'limited' format strictly for people who want to experience faster games.
