Considering Note Air5 C but unsure about dimness

The main reason I want to get an e ink tablet is to reduce digital eye strain.

This model is my current top candidate; it’s in colour and scrolls much smoother than most e ink tablets.

For these reasons, I intend to use it for things I would otherwise do on a device (ie, browse the web, check emails, etc), just without the eye strain from a glowing screen.

However, I’ve seen a lot of people say this model is especially dim and needs to be used with a front light.

Does using a front light cause eye strain comparable to a normal screen?

If so, will using such a dim model without a front light also cause eye strain?

Would the Go 10.3 Gen II Lumi be a better candidate? Does it also have the smooth scrolling?

Thanks!

Digital artist considering e ink

Heya! I draw a LOT on my iPad, but sometimes get headaches and eye strain, and am considering getting an e ink drawing tablet to help mitigate this. I have a bunch of questions…

1- Is it possible to use an e ink drawing tablet as a display for an iPad? Like, if I wanted to use Procreate but with e ink, could I just connect it to an e ink tablet and draw on that? Or is iOS unable to do so?

2- If not, what e ink tablet comes with decent drawing programs as well as ways to export to iPad? Procreate is my favourite program to draw on; if I get an e ink tablet, I anticipate I’ll use it mostly for sketching and lineart, and then export that lineart to the iPad to finish on Proceeate.

3- Are e ink tablets slow when they run drawing programs?

4- Are there any e ink tablets that come with highly praised styluses?

5- Are eink tablets compatible with specific styluses, or can I use any generic stylus?

6- What would be a good way to get one for cheaper without compromising quality too much? Used? Refurbs? Sales? Or should I just buy new?

Thank you!!
