betheboss technique valid for beginners?

Im taking the MSF next month and have been deep diving into beginner motorcycle lessons and MSF POVs. they've been pretty helpful for getting an idea of what ill be getting into. the algorithm started recommending Be the boss of your motorcycle and its been impressive seeing him teach techniques for moving slow. what im wondering is, is this something beginners should concentrate on trying or would it be better to get some miles and time under your belt before you work on these techniques? also i guess, is it as impressive as it seems to a beginner? thanks

EDIT: wanted to clarify i was wondering if the technique was transferable between different bikes. i dont want to use a road barge like he does, but rather a cruiser. and so no one has to look it up, his technique he stresses is preloading the throttle, letting out clutch into the friction zone just enough to get the bike moving and then keeping both throttle and clutch right there and then using the rear brake to control speed to keep sufficient power to the rear wheel so it wants to stand up straight and not tip over
