We couldn't do it without our amazing volunteers and panty partners. Our next pantry is October 17th and we need your help! Our hygiene essentials' supply is running low. We rely on community support to keep our pantry stocked for our neighbors who need it most.

August with Good Neighbors

Hey Good Neighbors!

Our August pantry went smoothly thanks to our wonderful volunteers and sponsors! This month we were able to help 300 neighbors with nearly 1600 lbs of food distributed.

We're still running out of essentials before helping everyone that we want to and we would love it if neighbors could help out in any way. Even $5 brings us closer to our goal!

Amazing news for the pantry process - we were gifted a desperately needed fridge by Cristo's kitchen of Woburn. This means we can store a lot more fresh food now like produce and eggs. This means we can distribute more to neighbors that need it! Extra special thank you to Chris 🧡

Our next pantry is September 19th! Subscribe to our substack for more info & to stay up to date with ways to help! (link in bio)

REMINDER 🩵❤️ Massachusetts's state primary is Tuesday, September 1. Make a plan to vote!

Good Neighbors in July + what's next

Hey Good Neighbors!

Thanks to the tireless effort of our Leadership Team and the hard work of 38 volunteers, this month Good Neighbors helped provide the following support to our neighbors in North Quincy:

* 128 households served

* 360 people reached across those households

* Nearly 1,500 meals’ worth of food sent home with clients

* 30 hygiene essentials bags & 50 menstrual product bags distributed (menstrual bags donated by [Free.](https://www.freeperiodministry.org))

***

We are especially grateful for your time, donations, and enthusiastic support as we continue our mission of food security. Every contribution helps us stretch our resources, plan thoughtfully, and keep the pantry steady and welcoming for the neighbors who count on us for a little breathing room. Our July pantry was sponsored by Toodie's Fine Jewelry and we were eternally grateful for their support and efforts.

Our next pantry date is Saturday, August 15 4-6:30p (while supplies last)

Up Next:

New this month is our 501(c)(3) status and easier donation platform Zeffy. 100% of donations go to food security efforts and it's easier than ever to help our neighbors.

Right now, our only cold storage is a freezer and it definitely helps, but is not enough to stock produce and fresh, perishable products (produce, dairy) like a refrigerator could. These products are the hardest foods for our neighbors to get, and the most nutritious when they do. A commerical fridge, and the electrical work to support it, is what lets us take in and store more of it.

We've set up a dedicated Storage Room Capital Campaign for exactly this. If you're able to chip in towards the fridge and electrical work, it goes directly to infrastructure work that will serve neighbors for years. Every gift is tax deductible!

Other ways to help your neighbors:

  1. Sharing our pantry with others. The more we share, the more we ensure our neighbors can get any help they may need - heygoodneighbors.org

  2. Volunteer 🙂

  3. Our Amazon Wishlist (Link in bio)

We are always open to help, so if you want to see how you can contribute or just offer ideas *please* reach out!
