New Artist ‘Gracie’ is here with her debut studio album ‘seeing stars’ + deluxe (2013)

Meet Gracie Holland, she was born on September 12th 1995, in New Jersey she was born from 2 unknown parents who gave her up for adoption due to not being able to take care of her due to their financial situation. She spent about a year of her life in the adoption centre before she was adopted by a family just a week before her 2nd birthday.

Growing up, she always felt like the odd one out, she was constantly reminded that she was adopted by her siblings. She would spend most of her childhood in isolation, but when she got to the age of 8, she met a girl by the name of Georgina who almost shielded Gracie as she was experiencing bullying at home and at school.

She would write songs as an escape but some bullies got a hold of it and would rewrite them to make fun of her and stick them all over her locker. this caused Gracie to stop going school and ended up getting homeschooled from the age of 10. he adopted father was a major record label execuive for Sony Music Group. and sometimes she use to do little performances for her father. she always had a mind for music.

when she was a teenager she fell in love with rock band ‘Sting’ and their makeup, she would do her makeup inspired by them. she would alsp do covers of their songs and would go around her home town doing covers of different songs. Her favourites was ‘Stay Down’ - Jazzy J, Human Nature - Black Velvet and many more. this got many people talking. On October 3rd 2011, while doing a performance, she sang one of her original songs called ‘solar’ and there was not a single dry eye in that bar.

This got her noticed by Columbia Records who wanted to give her a shot. she ended up performing 4 songs for them. 2 of which are still unreleased nd the other 2 are ‘tell me why’ and ‘selfish’ and in the words of ‘Georgia Addams’ (the label executive) she blew the roof off the place.

Gracie, now 17, was working on her debut studio album which shes decided to name ‘seeing stars’ as a nod to always aiming for the biggest things in life. By the time it was February 2013, Gracie was ready to release her first single which she decided to be solar as it was the song that changed her life. so it was set in stone that solar would release on March 3rd 2013.

That date soon came and solar failed to chart. however it blew her out of the waters. and on June 22nd 2013 the whole album soon followed. Gracie spent the next couple months with her family before going on her tour. this is where Gracie’s anxiety started to go crazy as she was doubting herself. that doubt soon faded as when June 22nd came ‘seeing stars’ was finally here.

Seeing Stars debuted at #96 and to many critics calling it ‘just abother sad lonely girl making music’. this really hurt Gracie as she really wanted this to be her career. She genuinely thought about giving it up. until she was scrolling on twitter and saw a rising artist by the name of Malcolm shouting her album out. this made her sooo happy soo much she wrote and recorded 10 new songs in the span of a month and decided to drop a deluxe.

The deluxe dropped about 3 months later and it sent Gracie to new heights. The Deluxe pushed the album to #26 and even gave her her first ever top 10 hit with angels chorus which peaked at #6. This pushed her to go on an arena tour at just 18. to which sold out.

The Stargazing tour gained over $19 million, and over the last 2 years, she's been grinding and perfecting her album, which is set to be released in 2016. It is also confirmed that Gracie and Malcolm are officially dating, to which Gracie calls it the happiest she’s ever been. Malcolm is her soulmate and nothing could ever change that.

Gracie has been featured heavily in Malcolm’s work. Her 2016 album, and of June 2015, is just over halfway done.

Malcolm - Such An Unheavenly Rainbow (2016)

After the success of his 2015 album ‘Songs For When It’s Loud at Home’, 2016 was a dark year. Malcolm was set to spend the first half of the year in rehab in Miami. Malcolm was alone. For the first time in 6 years Malcolm was alone. He didn’t have no one inside there.

Malcolm was progressing. Progressing so much in fact they let him out early. Instead of being in Miami until June. He was released 2 months early in April. Malcolm was barely sober when they let him out. However Malcolm wasn’t complaining he was so happy to be released.

He met up with Gracie and the two hugged for about an hour before Malcolm took the week off to spend with Gracie. However before going into rehab Malcolm recorded a bunch of music.

Also before going into rehab, Malcolm promised 2 albums in 2016. He labelled them as his redemption to the light of this world. Their names:
‘Such An Unheavenly Rainbow’ with ‘Misty Waters Where The Birds Sing’.

Malcolm met up with fellow producer and artists ‘Dangermouse’ who he enlisted to help engineer the projects. And by late April the first album was done.

Such An Unheavenly Rainbow was released on May 3rd 2016, and fans were so happy to see Malcolm back. The album debuted at #5 on billboards. With billboards labelling it as the biggest blessing upon first listen yet the most devasting heartbreak on the latter listens. Fans were even more excited to see that old experimental hip hop side of Malcolm and the song ‘Intensive Care’ became Malcolm’s biggest song ever.

It debuted at #4 marking Malcolm’s 1st Top 5 hit. Fans were also excited to see Trap legend ‘Lil’ Trilla’ appear on the song School Run. Malcolm confirmed him and Trilla have even more classics in the vault. Kendrick Lamar also made an appearance on the song Glass Slipper where at first was an in announced feature but fans quickly caught on.

However Malcolm’s label Blue Stone Records wanted him to immediately capitalise and release the 2nd album the week after but Malcolm refused saying “it wasn’t done yet”. So instead they made him tour. And it lasted until end of November 2016.

The tour resparked his anxiety and he was constantly having panic attacks and Gracie was scared he was at the brink of relapse sooo promised she’d fly out to New York and stay with him on the remainder of his tour. However, Malcolm’s urge was increasingly becoming more and more irresistible.

The tour became his highest grossing with it selling out in a day. And grossed $12.7 million. Malcolm is set to be taking the rest of 2016 with the hint of Misty Waters releasing any day now.

Lil’ Haven Debut - Haven or Hell (2016)

Born January 2nd 1998, Kalmene Dennis was born in Atlanta, Georgia. His mother, Janice, was only 19 when she had Kalmene and had nowhere to go. His father left after finding out Janice was pregnant. Janice and her mother were the only people in Kalmene’s life for the first couple of years. They ended up moving in with her mother in Greenbriar, Atlanta

When Kalmene was a teenager, he was a bad kid. he never went to school and instead was out in the streets. He met an upcoming rapper by the name of Yungen $nake (real name Kai Brooks), and they just hit it off. By the age of 15, Kalmene was in the studio pretty much every day.

He loved writing music, and he began working with Yungen’s producer ‘LossByElo’, and they ended up making the song ‘Quebec’ and released it to SoundCloud in August 2015. This gained some traction, especially by rising Soundcloud artist FredoRedd. By the age of 17, he got into a massive fight with his mother and her boyfriend. This resulted in Kalmene getting arrested for assault after getting into a physical fight wth this man and breaking his nose.

In 2014, Kalmene was walking with some of his friends, and they sat in a park and were bumping ‘I Am’ by ATL Legend Lil’ Trilla and ’9otti’ by *Young Oso. Kalmene made it his mission to collaborate with both these superstars.

After being released after only a few months, Kalemene decided to become a full-time rapper. He adopted the name Lil Haven and released the song ‘Trappin’ In Atlanta’, which gained a few thousand streams but also booked him a few clubs in and around the Greenbriar area. However, he lied about his age to get into the club, and this is where he met rising superstar ‘Yung Gotti’ and the 2 exchanged words, and Gotti gave Haven some advice.

In January 2016, Haven was arrested as part of an armed robbery but was later bailed out by other members of the gang. Haven became part of a branch of the Revels. In February 2016, Haven finally had enough material to drop his debut mixtape titled ‘Haven or Hell’ and was set to drop on May 6th 2016. Independently, he got features from both rapper ‘Yung Gotti’ and ‘FredoRedd’ and was finally looking at a career.

While driving through Atlanta, Haven’s friend put him onto a new rapper also from Atlanta by the name of ‘Yung Keef’, and he played the song ‘No Name’, and Haven was vibing. He turned to his friend and said, ‘Yo, this shit fireeeee’. Haven decided to party before his mixtape dropped and invited loads of people, and this is where he met 17 year old ‘Nia Davis’ and the 2 hit it off. The party was ridded wth drugs and alcohol, and the 2 got a bit drunk and ended up making out in the back room.

On May 6th 2016, Haven or Hell released fully independetly and became a hood hit. debuted with selling 10k copies and even charted on Billboard at #92. To capitalise on the success of his debut mixtape, he dropped 2 singles within a month, with them being ‘Slimey’ and ‘Atlanta’s Own’. Both failed to chart. Haven did a few shows around Atlanta and put fliers up with his number on them to try to get his name further out there. The cover was made on an editing software by Haven’s friend. Haven loved the half red half blonde hair.

On July 10th 2016, at Nia’s 18th birthday, Haven’s phone kept ringing. He ignored it, as it was Nia’s day until he got fed up and answered.
“Who the fuck are you?” he said “Hello to you too, I heard that mixtape of yours is fire, let's link and make something”, the guy on the phone answered. “You didn't answer the question. “ Who the fuck are you?” Haven said again. “Oh, right, yeah. Hey, I’m Slezxo” …

KODS DROPPED ‘APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION’ (July 1999)

After a very successful 1998, Compton’s own ‘Kidz on Drugz Stupid’ we’re on top of the world. Renzo, Krazy A both had number 1 albums and when they came back for Double Trouble they shattered the record for highest selling album of 1998.

Yet behind the scenes the group was in pieces. In January 1999, Priority Records told them it was time for the groups 2nd studio album. To which they agreed. However as time went on Renzo started to notice how little control he had.

Nothing he wrote was being used and even having the last verse on some songs. When he brought it up to Krazy. He would respond with ‘Atleast your on the song we could’ve cut you’. Renzo didn’t take so lightly so snapped. He pinned Krazy to the wall. Renzo told him he wanted out. Krazy told him to back the fuck up to which Renzo responded by throwing a right jab to Krazy’s eye as the fight ensued.

However, because they was naive when signing the record contract he still legally had to make and tour the album. So he agreed to finish the album. Recording actually began in late 1998 and finished in February 1999 as while on their solo tours they recorded some music.

Their lead single ‘Golden Gate Gangstaz’ was released and it debuted at #11 on billboards. The songs is a direct shot at Mad Prophet, Milo J and Kontrol Freakz as the music video shows the destruction of their records with them even setting them on fire.

While listening to the album Renzo and MC Subzero was getting tired of the beef as it felt like Krazy was Dragging it on. He kept dissing them, so Renzo decided to say something. He told Krazy that all this is doing is dragging this beef. Renzo said ‘we’ve buried those punk ass wannabes a long time ago’ just let it go. Renzo told Krazy to stop trying to kill an already dead man. Yet Krazy didn’t listen.

Krazy told Renzo to ‘shut the fuck up’ and to ‘go be my little bitch’ Renzo snapped and punched Krazy. This is the moment K.O.D.S became no more. However Renzo was still classed on the album. Later Their final single ‘Robberiez’ was released on June 27th and peaked at #21.

The album soon followed on July 12th 1999. It became the highest selling rap album in California in 1999 selling 313,000 units first week. However no tour followed. That’s when it hit global and worldwide news. KODS had split!!!!

The name of the album was ‘Appetite For Destruction’ as they has been on top of the rap world overthrowing the likes of DYNA$TY and Kontrol Freakz. But now fans have seen it as a double entendre of the group imploding from the inside.

Renzo told An interviewer he was done with ‘KRAZY’s and Priorities bullshit’ and claimed to be the best rapper of the 3 of them. He also claimed that his beef with the east coast isn’t done he’s just getting ready to put the west coast ahead. He ended the interview with responding to Krazy and Milo saying “Was Judas King?”

MC Subzero responded saying KODS was no longer the heart of the west coast it wasn’t a 5 way split the greedy label executives taking away from their families. It’s confirmed Renzo, Dr. Cypher & MC Subzero all parted ways from the group.

Sting Have Dropped Their Debut Studio Album ‘Sting’ (October 1991)

In 1965, 4 boys were born:
Daniel Adams born january 7th 1965, in Addingham, West Yorkshire
Axel Thane born on December 25th 1964, in Addingham, West Yorkshire
Kaid Jensen born on March 25th 1965, in Leeds, West Yorkshire
Pheonix Reed born december 8th, 1964 in Manchester

Daniel Adams and Axel Thane grew up living next door to each other, and instantly, there was a bond between the 2. They both adored music, bands like Liveon, The Rolling Stones and artists like Seraph and the Knight Brothers. While attending Secondary school, they met a boy in their tutor called Kaid Jensen. The boys noticed that he would sit and eat alone, so one day they invited him to hang out at the skate park after school.

They realised that Kaid was a very talented guitarist and they fell in love with just playing. Axel actually taught himself how to play the guitar and was very good at it. So after school, all 3 o them would just shred. During Music Class, the teacher told the class to get into bands and learn a song to play. However, they needed a 4th member, and a kid named Pheonix Reed came up to them asking to join, so then there were 4.

They learned the song ‘Darling, Sun’ of Seraph’s debut album in 1975. amd played it to a tea. so much so, the music teacher actually made them playin front of the whole school. The lineup was:
Daniel Adams - Singer
Axel Thane - Lead Guitarist
Kaid Jensen - Guitarist
Pheonix Reed - Drummer

However, instead of going to the music industry, the group decided to put it on hold and decided to pursue college and university, where they all attended the University of Leeds, studying music engineering. This is when they met a boy called David Seenan, who was studying on the same course as them. They also shared a house with him in 1987. They all graduated in the summer of ’87.

After, however, they had no idea what to do. That’s when the idea of the band started to float around again, and now wth 5 members they thought it could be done. So the group started to perform renditions of hit songs in local pubs in and around Yorkshire.

But the group felt so unoriginal that they didn’t have that uniqueness. That’s when Kaid came up with the idea to be like a servant to a godly being. So after a few hours, the group came up with the idea of the one who will rule all. The group decided to paint their faces as who this being wanted them to be.

However, before going to a sold-out show. David Seenan chose to leave the band as he didn’t believe in the band’s goals and decided to join another band. So now, without a bassist, the band was struggling. The group decided to keep carrying on and got a very big cult following. This caught the attention of Eclipse Records executive Sharon Michaels. This is also when the band caught news of Rock Icons Vaughn Axel’s split.

While negotiations for the band’s contract to Eclipse, they met Vaughn Axel Drummer ‘Vinnie Vega’, and he believed in the bands image and goals and agreed to join. The band that started in a high school in Leeds has now signed a record deal and os recordin their debut album. The band known as Sting.

Recording began in April 1990 and finished in January 1991. And the group decided the first single ‘Scorpio’ would drop on April 19th 1991. While the label listened to the album, they were just amazed by the band’s enthusiasm and their passion. However, they wanted them to scrap the face paints to which Daniel said, “This is who HE wants us to be, we don’t listen to you, only HIM”.

Scorpio was released and it took off running debuting at #43 on the hot 100 this was the bands big break and their 2nd and final single ‘Blackout’ will be released on July 10th 1991 and the album will be released on October 31st 1991.

The Band was making national headlines. their face paints was plasterd all over channel 5 and Scorpio was rising up the charts. The group was at the grasp of making it big. Blackout had released and it sent the band to new heights breaking into the US with it debuting at #90 on the US Charts and #43 in the UK. The band had gone global.

The album was next so the memebers decded to spend te last few months with family. This has been their dream for soo long and its finaly happening. October soon came and before you knew it the album was here.

Sting was released on Halloween Night on 1991 and it debuted at #5 on Billboard selling 141,000 copies its first week. This caused a massive wave across the UK and Sting was going on tour. to capitalise this massive success the Band was booked for a World Tour stopping in 12 countries and going from November 1991 to April 1992. Each venue io the UK and US has sold out with reports saying France, Canada, Australia, Germany & Brazil all on the cusp of selling out.

However, when asked about their face paints the band just stared into the camera before Axel responded “youll soon see the true face of HIM … of the ICON”

During the end and start of 2013-2014 the group began working on an album with ATLDenzall however on November 7th 2014 their big break came. Upcoming Rapper Nova $kyes featured Ashanti on his project ‘THE NIGHT B4’ and skyrocketed the group. This made them have stage names;

Young Oso - L$D (2015)

after coming off a dominate year already in 2015 topping the charts with ‘9otti’ and having a “Boom” in the summer with Young Slez Make It Boom things seemed up for Young Oso. but things couldnt of been further from the truth.

Most days Oso was high as a kite just sat mumbling into the microphone music was all he had left. after losing Ethan and Evelyn leaving he was destroyed, and you can hear it in some of the songs he made. Oso was heavily depended on Lean, percocets and other drugs. One drug Oso was hooked on was LSD and the psycadelic vibe it gave him inspired his final release of 2015.

“Lookin’ $upa Dope” was released on August 21st 2015 and it was different. That trap sound wasnt there he was mumbling and it worked. no singles dropped prior to the project and when fans heard rumours of features as big as Trilla and Drake but when the mixtape dropped it was confirmed the 15 track mixtape had no features.

it debuted at #1 on the hot 200 with Dru9 Dealin9 debuting at number 2. it sold 250k first week. in 2015, at a grammy party Oso met risiing superstar Malcolm who was fresh off his breakout debut album ‘Songs For When Its Loud At Home’ which the song ‘Wear That Name’ was nominted for best rap song but didnt win.

Oso and Malcolm laughed the whole night, but one bit stuck out to Oso and it was Malcolm tallking about how hes gping into rehab and says he is scared. infact his words were ‘im more scared of the man that will leave that centre than the man who entered’ showing hes scared ehat will happen to him when he gets sober.

Oso told him that no matter what hell be a legend and an inpiration and that decision and that meeting made oso stop taking LSD and slowed his drug use. he also called Evelyn that night but it isnt confirmed what happened.

Oso failed to win any grammies at the 2015 ceremony and actually went 0/3. He is said to be working with artists again with the likes of Lil’ Trilla, Slexzo and even rising stars like A$TROS and Nova $kyes.
