I want to paint some cutting boards and after sanding and staining, I went to paint them. I first sanded lightly but when I went to paint with the acrylics it went on terribly and the wood grain was absorbing the paint like crazy. I see people sell these all the time so I’m so confused how they get it to work? Every time I look it up the internet tells me a different way to do it. I’ve done one on top of the stain that worked well but I’m afraid of it cracking. I do seal all of my work but I want to make the paint last as long as possible. I see a lot of people just painting over sealed wood but I’m not sure if it’s okay??

After contemplating health coaching for a while now, I feel I’m being pushed in a direction…

I recently accepted a part-time position thinking I could get easy supplemental hours in the evenings… I was wrong. I have been exploring health coaching for a while now but I have been afraid to “pull the trigger” so to speak.

I have two degrees, one in Health Science and one in psychology. I live in Virginia in a very populated multi-college town. I regularly attend the gym my boyfriend’s family owns. I want to help people, and I only need around 10 hours of extra work time.

In conclusion, I’m just very scared of this not working or not being able to find clients. Any advice would be very much appreciated!

After battling unemployment for 5 months, I recently got a job at a private school as a teacher assistant. I’m super happy with the job and excited to start the school year! However, I only work part-time hours an I need around 10-15 hours of extra work time in the evenings or on Fridays. I have had a terrible time trying to find anything and I am exhausted. I even resorted to Craigslist! Reddit never lets me down so give me all the ideas/legit open roles you have!!!
