Nova Scotia Archives experience?
I requested a certified birth record from the Nova Scotia Archives through their website. It’s for my G0 great grandfather born 1875. They replied by email that **“**it may take us up to thirty (30) business days (ca. 6 weeks) to reply”.
Has anyone had experience with them? It’s now been 6 weeks since my original request. Should I be looking for an email saying they are going to process my request and asking me for payment?
Any insight appreciated. I’m tempted to send in my otherwise completed application with a print out of the birth record from the archives and a note saying a certified copy has been requested.
ETA: Thanks everyone! Now I have a better idea what to expect for a timeline. I’ll probably submit with the print out now and upload the certified copy when it arrives.
