Window A/C units for tuff sheds?

Summer heat is upon me in norcal, and the one thing my home office doesn't have is any kind of climate control. I finished a standard 8x10 tuff shed with a stock configuration, so it just has those two small windows that slide open horizontally. Can't remember the max width when it is open but I feel like its only around 10.5 inches.

I CANNOT for the life of me find a window a/c unit capable of fitting in that little space, which honestly surprises me. You'd think some company would have figured out this little untapped corner of the a/c market and designed one to fit.

I know I can get the floor kind that has a tube to vent out the window, but has anyone found an actual window a/c unit that fits in these tiny tuff shed windows?

Seeking help with a dead end

Hi fellow family tree enthusiasts!

I'm fearful that my biggest questions are ultimately not answerable, but before giving up completely i thought I'd make an appeal here and see if anyone has any ideas.

My last name is English, or so we always thought. I dont want to type it in here due to the rarity. It does show up as early as 1630 with the early Massachusetts bay settlers, so we always thought that was our lineage.

However, after doing research, the first guy in my line we have concrete info from (born around 1800) says his relatives came from France (or New France), and he likely anglicized his name.

This fits circumcstantially with a lot of stuff. There's a dude with my last name in 1810 NH census who is using both an anglicized and a French surname. My known ancestor is getting married by a Protestant minister circa 1820, so they were probably huguenots. Theres more French in my DNA that I expected and all my other lines I am certain have no French in them.

So its easy to paint a picture of a French immigrant or Acadian coming down into new England right around 1790 to 1800, masking his Frenchness with a last name change, and fathering my gggg grandfather, whom I have rock solid info on.

But this is all circumstantial.

Are there any good records or histories out there i might look to in order to try to get better info on the people coming down into new England from what's now canada at the very end of the 18th century? Or ship records of who was coming to maritime canada from France around this time?

Or was this just an era without much record keeping and I'm not likely to find anything?

Is there an angle to the research I am missing here?

Thanks very much for any tips!
