Headlights getting too bright?

IK it's beating a dead horse, but I keep getting blinded in my Mini by the supernova LED headlights of approaching cars. It's been talked about a lot here and there are murmurs about new regulations too.

Decided to do some digging (real talk: I'm a student journalist so want to write something about it). Just found out from a Freedom of Information request to the Department for Transportation that complaints about dazzling/blinding headlights are basically doubling year-on-year.

Year Number of cases:

2023 16

2024 31

2025 59

Would really appreciate it if anyone can give any statements/quotes/anecdotes about driving at night and how annoying it's getting. Cheers everyone
