I invested a lot in some items that I'll soon sell, selling on TP would cost me hundreds of gold and i could ask for people who needs them and trade for less than the TP cost but higher than what i get after taxes. It sounds really fishy and i bet that, if this practice is not a problem, there's some place for this but i never saw anyone doing it.
