P trap, gully, sump.

P trap, gully, sump.

I know this sub is for pros, and giving out diy advice can be frowned upon.

However, I am more so trying to understand how this system works, I think as a home owner, a basic understanding of how the main systems work in a house is not the worst idea. I'm probably going to use any advice given to figure out which pipe to poke a bit of wire down and see if it's the missos hair causing issues.. Anyway

Problem:

Shower drain backs up quc3kky, causes bathroom drain to overflow.

1970's ish kit style house, concrete slab, on tank water.

Bathroom drain is a vertical section of pipe with 2 inlets, one from shower, one from sink. Bottom of this pipe appears to be a p trap that goes straighr back to the shower drain.

Why would the shower have 2 pipes that both seem to connect to the vertical piece of the shower drain

Has anyone got an diagram of what this system looks like?

How do I find the outlet of this pipe? My Amazon camera boroscope can not find an outlet anywhere..
