Anyone else stopped dating because most men have awful personal hygiene?

I get irritated when a man touches stuff in public, buttons, surfaces and then proceeds to touch my hair and face. Like please don't! And when I set that boundary they get angry.

And have you seen the way men live solo? I've seen men sleeping on moldy sheets, moldy pillow, dust bunnies in their clothes, they don't brush their teeth, they don't spend more than 3 minutes in the shower, their car is rancid and stinks, they literally put dirty shoes on the bed or couch, they wear outdoor clothes that have been on the subway INDOORS on the bed. Stuff like personal hygiene, their peepee hasn't been cleaned, they have smegma etc. then they leave plates in the sink for a week, you open their laptop and their keys have sticky grease on them I can go on...

Like hygiene alone is enough for me to nope out before we even get to their personality and emotional intelligence. Yuck.

No more emotional contagion

One thing I'm glad about being single is no longer dealing with what I call the man mood. It's when a man disrupts your peace and happiness even without saying a word. Something about their body language, movements, facial expression, heavy footsteps and general vibes in my home make me catch some secondary depression.

Like I remember being sat at dinner with him and he was huffing, sighing, eyes dark, scrolling on his phone angry. Like I swear why can't they regulate their own facial expressions to not affect the partner. It's like circulating a black hole. Women are told to smile more and be more pleasant but men get away with having dark broody energy from their face coming off them.

If I ever posted this in a sub where men were I'd be chronically downvoted and invalidated. But I will die on a hill that a moody man with negative body language can also ruin your life because if makes you feel like you're walking on eggshells.

I dont like being controlled

I am a free spirit, when I was dating I would actually get really really angry when men would monopolize or dictate my time or what I do.

No I am going home at 9pm because I want to take a nice hot bath and watch TV. I do not want to sit in a loud af bar until 1AM and lose sleep.

No I have booked out my Sunday for ME TIME, you don't just get to text me and think I'm going to pick up your call like a hungry chicken.

No I always play my cello when I get home from work because I want to keep up my music hobby. I am not overhauling this to hang with you. Work around it.

I just hated that nearly every guy I dated wanted me to warp my schedule and time to suit them and they rarely do the same for me. My lifestyle and timetable before I met you STAYS EXACTLY THE SAME as it is when I am dating you. I am not justify why things I do in MY LIFE are important to me.

Thats the beauty of being single, no insecure ass man monopolizing your life to satisfy the fucking male loneliness epidemic.

The thought of spending my whole life living with or tied to one person just seems silly and trapping to me

Like basic psychology, men change, people change, life goals change. We function so much better mentally with room to grow rather than being smothered living with the same person for decades. I just dont think its natural for women to be tied to one person for life in a marriage.

I want to wake up and to be free to do whatever I want of my own volition. I dont want to inform someone or ask if thats okay, I don't want to be tiptoeing on a mans insecurities. Just ugh. I don't know why more women don't relish singlehood.
