Which Anbennar Nations Are Essential for the World's Survival or Health?

Hello.

After playing a few Anbennar campaigns, I've noticed that some nations seem uniquely capable of dealing with specific world-threatening problems. If those nations get conquered or never achieve their goals, it feels like the entire world is worse off as a result but we never realize it.

I don't mean this in a political sense, like a liberal nation being conquered by an authoritarian one. I mean nations that possess unique knowledge, institutions, or capabilities that nobody else seems able to replicate.

For example, the Trollsbay Concord is the only nation I know of in its region that can properly deal with the huge number of supernatural horrors and the Lovecraftian monstrosities lurking beneath its shores. From what I've seen, they literally create a machine capable of rewriting reality itself to contain those threats.

Are there any other nations like that?

I'm not talking about cases like the Jaddari surviving to defeat Zokka, since from what I've seen, Zokka can ultimately be beaten by anyone strong enough. I'm more interested in nations that are uniquely qualified to solve a problem, where if they fail, nobody else can realistically step in and do the same job.

Which nations do you think absolutely need to survive for the betterment—or even survival—of the world or least some region?

Let them curse us from their towers. Towers will be torn down and republic endure.

Yeah, building fantasy USA is nice, but is not anybody else worried about what is slumbering right under ALL of our capital cities?
