Hey everyone,

Just came back from my 9 month check up with my baby. He's always been in the 99th percentile for his height and weight. He is currently 25lbs and 30.5 inches so he just passed the cutoff for his infant car seat which maxes at 30 inches. I am now shopping around for a new seat but am overwhelmed by the available choices.

I have two cars, one smaller (2025 Tesla Model 3) and one larger (2012 BMW x3) that my wife and I drive. I want to get something that will last him for a long time and that he will be comfortable in. Any recommendations based on his size and the two different vehicles? I would probably lean towards getting a 2nd car seat eventually. We mostly use the Tesla but the BMW is used when I am at work.
