Card of the Day COMPLAINTS

Guys I’m responding to a specific comment on one of the Cards of the Day of few days ago. The reason I do Card of the Day is because I love engaging with you guys, especially those of you who PLAY the game, because I love getting your perspective on these cards mechanically. I’m a collector, and an aspiring player lol. 99% of the reason I started doing The Card of the Day is because I just love the art. Old school MTG artists doing art for a NEW TCG inspired by the 90s. So the comment addressed my “effort” and the fact that the Cards are from my own collection, and the pictures are taken by me using my phone. I was crying about the 2nd comment because that’s just funny to me. Doesn’t really need to be addressed. But as far as effort goes, how much effort does it take to remove a card from a binder, and take a picture of it? If the comment meant effort in regard to engaging with fellow members, I’m not an interesting person. I want to start a conversation and get YOUR input on these cards and how they work in the game itself. If the Card of the Day also displays a piece of art that you really like, well thats even better! At the end of the day, I’ve been doing this on my personal instagram to people who had no interest, and I didn’t care because I enjoyed the art. Finding this Reddit group has been AMAZING. I truly enjoy and appreciate hearing everyone and anyone’s opinion. Im going to continue to post a card a day, every day, until I don’t find it fun anymore. I hope you guys enjoy seeing the cards, and I hope you enjoy the discussions and opinions it provides as much as I do!

Hello Everyone! 🍑 🌴

I am a 31 year old man from Raleigh NC. When I first moved down here 12 years ago, my grandmother and I planted this peach tree in our yard. The 1st photo is of the tree looking more like a bush. I never thought it would grow, given how much clay there is in my yard (gotta love NC) Unfortunately my grandmother passed back in February. Well I went to look at the peach tree today, because I always feel close to her when I’m near that tree. This is how it looks today. My question to the group is, will I ever be able to grow an actual ripe peach on this tree in my lifetime? Idk enough about the climate and how it affects the fruit trees, but if I could get 2 ripe peaches to make Peach Cobbler with, it would mean so much to me. My grandmother made me peach cobbler for my birthday every year. I’m gonna go cry, thanks guys! 😂

Hey friends! Was able to get my hands on Beta Precon decks. About to sit down and play our first game! I’m going with Air, and my gf is using Water. Any advice? Anything that I should know? I’ve been watching gameplay videos, and “How to Plays” but I just wanted to get as much advice/help as possible, THANK YOU!

Opinions!?

Guys I’m buying a box today! The question I have is….Which SET?!?!? Obviously I’m not opening Alpha, but between Beta, AL, and Gothic, what would be the best to crack in your opinion, and why?? Thank you!!

The beginning!

Guys I’m diving in! Finally going to sit down Friday and attempt to build my first deck. I may be getting ahead of myself by attempting to build a deck as opposed to trying a pre-con, but I don’t have access to them atm. Any advice? I welcome any and all advice! Thank you!!!

Question Time!

Okay family. I’m at a point in my Sorcery journey where my Girlfriend and I have cracked 3 Beta Boxes, and 2 Arthurian Legends boxes. Have a binder for each set, and for beta I’d say we’ve collected about 65%-70% of the set, between foils and non-foils. For AL, maybe about 50% of the set collected. Started with our first box, which was Beta, and pulled (my girlfriend, not me) a Foil P-Stone about halfway through the box. It was so surreal. Such a great experience that I wish I could rewind and experience again. The card I wanted to pull was a foil Amethyst Core. From the second I first saw the “Cores”, especially being drawn by Melissa Benson (personal favorite), I was hooked. Favorite color is Purple, birth stone is amethyst. It’s just the card for me. STILL. HAVEN’T. PULLED. IT. So, long story even longer, What is the card that you’ve been hunting for, but just can’t pull? And secondly, is it a cop out to buy the Single of your “Dream” card? I’m always torn on if I should just buy the single, or wait and hope that I eventually pull it? Love yous.

What kind of set would you like to see next?

Personally, I think each set has been a home run in terms of art. Sorcery is clearly leading ALL TCG’s in the art department. My HUMBLE opinion. With that being said, as both players and collectors, what aesthetics are you looking for in their next set release? What would YOU like to see?
