OET Writing: Stuck at 320–350 on ChatGPT Despite Practice. What Am I Missing?
I am confused and disappointed. Despite having practised more than 15 writing tasks, including with a dedicated tutor, my letters almost never manage to score above 320–350 on ChatGPT, and I can only achieve slightly higher scores on Gemini. Only two or three times have I reached 370–400.
I have studied the guidelines for letter writing extensively, implemented every possible correction, and when I read my letters back, they seem very solid to me. In the end, ChatGPT identifies only a few minor grammar mistakes or slightly non-idiomatic expressions, yet these seem to lower the score very easily.
I no longer know what to do. I do not understand what else I can improve, and I am not sure whether the problem is ChatGPT itself. I have read here that one should aim for a score of 400 on ChatGPT, but at this rate I feel I will never reach it.
